Wow 95% that is a bold figure, can you link us to the study or evidence that you get that figure from?

sorry, no study or evidence, just my own eyeballs.

It's ironic that in the same thread you have those with "invisible" disabilities complaining about people assuming they're not disabled and entitled to a disabled space or challenging them for parking in disabled bays, and other disabled people (maybe even the same people, I can't be bothered to read back and check) recalling how they have challenged non-disabled people they have seen "getting out of their car and striding across the carpark".

FWIW, the OP encountered a miserable old c**t. There's no "dilema" and no point getting upset - life's full of them.

When he asked to see the badge because he didn't want to have to get back in his chair to go over to the car, I'd have just told him that he'd have to take my word for it then.;)

You're not allowed to put a baby in a rear facing car seat in the passenger seat if it is fitted with an airbag. Nearly all are, these days, I believe.
You're not supposed to even do it if the air-bag is switched off as there is no way of testing that the switching off is working.

I've also been told (by someone who should know, but I can't remember who) that a toddler shouldn't sit in the front seat, but I didn't follow their reasons so I wouldn't stick to that religiously.

But I'd have no problem with a 7 year old on a booster seat in the passenger seat of a sports car.
However, it is only the baby seats (i.e. those that shouldn't be in the front) that you would reasonably take out of the car to go shopping, so a 2-seater with no car seat is almost definitely in the wrong.

As long as the air bag isn't active then it is fine.....but essentially there is nothing to say anywhere that a person with a 2 seater car or van parked in a P+C space won't have a child with them. It does happen, and it is annoying, but we shouldn't assume.

What I want to know is why everyone who claims DLA seems to automatically qualify for a BB? Yes a lot of people have mobility problems and being closer does help, but others I don't understand. Would an amputation automatically entitle you to one because look at Oscar Pistorius.....double amputee and he runs in the bloody Olympics!!!!

So in other words you base on opinion on nothing but your eyes. If you feel so strong why dont you challenge people who you claim abuse the blue badge. I am sure many legitimate claimants dont mind showing you there BB. Although technically only police and traffic wardens can challenge people on, on road parking not private land.

I am disabled and we have been stopped too,my husband usually finishes at the checkout before me as he packs and i pay, he's had countless comments as he's arrived at the car before me, last time i was only a minute behind and he just pointed to me on my smaller scooter (one that travels in the car with me)and said she is disabled but thank you for your concern.
