RichieUK wrote:Unfortunately I too have have run into fraud problems after ordering from Shopneo. It seems rather of a coincidence that within days of ordering for the first time from this supplier I have 3 attempts of fraudulent use of my credit card which I have used for 25 years without any previous fraud problems. Luckily the transactions failed because the security CVC2 number was incorrect.
Exactly the same for me,never had a issue with fraudelent use of any of my cards used online over the past 10 years or so,until i used shop neo!
Quite a pain having to get my card cancelled and waiting 7 days for a new one to arrive, and the added hassle of having to update all my online retailers with the new debit card details.
Wish now, i had not gone for the cheap dysan discs shop neo offered,
its caused me so much hassle for a few cheap discs,
wont ever be using shop neo again after all this!!!
I was hit for £131.22p from a firm called SBC
How many other shop neo customers have actually been defrauded,
as Paul says it was a small amount, but how many is a small amount???

I was notified by my CC company of suspicious activity at the start of the week, but by then my account was hit for a total of £604  , all on gambling sites.
I phoned the CC company again today and they said that they had had complaints from several shopneo customers, and they knew that a letter had been sent out (although I haven't received one).
Can anyone beat my amount? This must be adding up to a tidy sum for some criminals somewhere.Charlie0 -
Being the OP I am a little relieved in a strange way that I am not the only one affected. I have emailed Paul but am yet to receive a replt but am willing to cut him some slack as he probably has a good majority of the MSE emailing him on a daily basis
By the way f1charlie I was nearly done for over £1200 to bet32.com but my bank would not authorise then payments, seems they know my spending habits too well ( )
I have never used a gambling site from my credit card and they have been instructed to never allow any such payments, at least I don't have to go through the hassle of changing my card number
I hope we get to the bottom on this and make the cuplrits pay a dear price for messing with the MSE'ers0 -

OK you winmr-mixalot wrote:I have never used a gambling site from my credit card and they have been instructed to never allow any such payments, at least I don't have to go through the hassle of changing my card number
I don't use gambling sites either and did think about asking for them to be blocked on my new card, but didn't know if it was possible.
But from other posts it seems that not all of the frauds have been to gambling sites, so are you still safe?Charlie0 -
1st post on this forum - shame about the circumstances.
I ordered the Dysan disks from the orignal forum post; ordered on 2/2.
Two dodgy card transaction on the 4/2 - £200, Luxembourg.
My money's better travelled than me
How long after ordering thru Shopneo did the spurious transactions appear?
How many of you ordered the Dysan disks that were on (very!) special offer ?
Peace

My Shopneo order for the DVDs went through 30/01, first dodgy transaction appeared on 09/02.
Yes, I could do without any more 'special' offers like that!Charlie0 -

I would seriously recommend that you do change your card ASAP. Payments alledgedly went out to London Congestion Charge and to paypal payments as well.
The 1800308717 debit that appeared on my card ended up as a payment marked as a Luxembourg payment system for online gambling.
Credit Card fraud people have yet to contact me, and were even kind enough to transfer some of the fraudulant payments onto my new card, despite me flagging them as fraud.0 -
Add another to the list - £324 taken in four seperate transactions. Items are now in dispute and I've been re-imbursed.
Glad i've found out where the breach was!0 -
It has happened to me too, a number of transactions for an airport in the Phillipines. Its really put me off buying stuff online now, i was just about to order some more aswell, but ive changed my mind now.
I have received a letter warning me about this from shopneo, but it still doesnt explain how this could have happened.
Hopefully my card will be refunded, my credit card company are looking into it, and ive mentioned that its happened to alot of other people after using shopneo.0
