    Morning all,

Seems a bit milder here today, so washing will be on the line when finished.

Got a lot done yesterday, so can take it a little bit easier today, but still a fair bit to do, need to shower in a mo, come down hoover and tidy through downstairs, I have a work meeting at 11, then go and see dad, get dd's passport sent off, phone mortgage co and get better deal, then walk dog and do dinner.

There now its written down I have to do it :D

Some sort of spaghetti thing for tea, with mushrooms / corgettes and smoked sausage with a cream cheese mixed in, should be nice, also need to get dd to strip her bed and wash that.

Back to work / school tomorrow, so better get organised today.

Sending hugs hugs to sunflower xx
  • Morning all

Happy pancake day :D it's my favourite day of the year! I'm going to my nan's tonight for pancakes, taking my little 13 year old cousin with me.

Posting earlier than normal as have a later start today. Taking work kids raft building and not picking them up til 10am. It's a bit drizzley here which is a shame, but they will probably get wet when they fall in anyway! :rotfl:

OS wise - made packed lunch

    Have a good day all

  • Hi everyone
Not been posting the last few days but have been lurking abit, I had last week off work and just pottered about trying not to spend money and eating out of the cupboards, so I didnt really do anything of any interest, just stayed in most of the time catching up on things and reading, knitting, sewing and crocheting, oh and some baking and thats about it really, so I hope everyone is feeling OK and if not I hope it all gets better quickly, anyway off to make a cup of coffee before I start some housework and put SC on. Having DD1 and DGD for tea so pancake making is on the menu - see not very exciting just very ordinary:)

  • Morning peeps :)

Thought today was going to be cold but have been out in the garden for last hour clearing patio in prep for conservatory starting later this week (woo hoo) and its rather nice outside.
Killer cat is tormenting Luna by running up and down the garden, sitting on the fence and kids slide :rotfl:

One load of washing done, dare I hang it on the line?? Loads more to do......why did I change the bed sheets AND towels all at the weekend.....got piles of washing overflowing the basket!! Normally I do the towels midweek.
anyway no idea whats for tea, have some frozen tuna steaks in freezer I could do.
Fighting off a headache this morning, feeling a wee bit shaking, blood sugar level has dropped......any excuse for a sweet cuppa and a twinks. Or two ;)

    Hugs and spoons all round.

Off to hang out my washing, going to live dangerously :rotfl:

  • Hi everyone,

I was forced out of bed at 9am  as my mum declared she was coming for a visit. I was dreading having to get out of bed but it's done me some good to be up and dressed and at least ready to face the world!

Washing Machine is on and salad is prepped for my lunch. Dinner tonight I'm not sure because we may just pig out on pancakes and HM ice cream so don't know whether to do anything as a main or not. I do have a cauli and some courgettes that I should really get used up.

I shall brush round in a moment. The vacuum seems too much of a chore so I bought a long handled dustpan and brush which is perfect for the tiled floors thorughout the majority of our downstairs. I guess I'm saving around 2p of electricity everyday too! ;)

Chickens are out and happily bathing in some fire ash. We were going to buy them a sandpit but I had a brainwave and used some old breeze blocks and the fire ash and they are happy as larry rolling in the dust. Very MSE if I do say so myself. 4 eggs yesterday and 4 already today so maybe I should have a boiled egg with my salad! Our cat is still super scared of the hens and was 'stuck' on our wall earlier until I went and rescued him. Stupid creature :rotfl:.

Everything looks so green and lush outside and I really want to be out there doing something but I'm not sure that it's warm enough and I'm not sure I have the energy either. Maybe I'll go and have a chat with the chucks later and convince our horrid neighbour that I'm totally insane.

Penultimate radio today which is good but of course it brings Friday even closer. Thankyou all for the hugs by the way - I really do need them right now.:)

My wig fitting is on Thursday and I've just called and warned them that I may well be upset and / or stroppy and I don't want a plain old wig, I want something that suits my personality. I'm sure they are used to it but I don't want to be fobbed off with a blue rinse when I'm thinking glittery red. Everyone knows I'll be having a wig so I don't see the point in being sensible and choosing something the same as what I have already. I already own a long blonde number and may modify it as it's a bit too long, so I am thinking long straight and red and maybe a shorter brown number too. :T

Hugs to all that need them :D

I put mine out; it started off on the A-frame in the bathroom, as it was dark and overcast, but when the sun showed itself I felt ashamed and forced myself to put it out - took me an age, and much swearing as I forced my left arm high enough to reach the line,:D but it'll be nicer dried in the fresh air.:o

(((HUGGGGGG))) Personally, I think being up and dressed, even if you're then going to lie on the sofa, is better psychologically, but that's just this Wolf's view.:o

    Afternoon everyone,
Need to catch up with the last couple of days as have been zombiefied by yet another change in meds :( body clock is awry & can only seem to sleep in the mornings so am trying to find quiet, useful things I can do at night rather than just playing fb games. Last night DP threaded me up a few needles & I got some mending done inc sewing a button on DD's coat which she was very chuffed about this morning :)
Tonight we are having bolognese pancakes baked in cheese sauce for dinner, DD will not be having cheese sauce (allergies) & the pancakes will be made with wholemeal flour as she is still doing the low carb/gi meal plan she has devised for herself.Must say it seems to be working she has lost 8.8kg so far. Now she is no longer needing train fare to visit the exbf I think she will treat herself to some new clothes.
Hold the front page...... DS has got a job!!!! Its only a 20 hr a week contract on mw but it's a job :) It''s at the same place DD works, but he had to do the interview etc himself, I am so pleased for him, he has turned his life around so much since last year when some of you may remember I was despairing of him! In the last 3 months he just seems to have gone from a monosyllabic teenage grunt to a proper young man, :) He starts in 2 weeks so I need to find his birth cert.. so he can open a bank account. :( I have no babies anymore :(
Sunflower hugs to you, I love your attitude re the wig & agree absolutely red & glittery sound fab :)
Hugs, spoon & get well vibes for all those that need them x
Fingers crossed for the job application x
Memory failing now so will just wish everyone a happy day whatever you are doing x
