How does being lazy cost you money?

I've just cost myself money by being lazy. I've just had to throw 4 chicken breasts in bin because they were OOD and I kept meaning to put them in the freezer and just didn't get round to it.0

I drove past the petrol station on Sunday, but couldn't be bothered to fill up my car with petrol.
I went to the petrol station to fill up yesterday, and the price had gone up by 1p ...
Grr...
For me it's having to drive out of my way to go to the supermarket twice in a week because I forgot to buy something essential on the first trip!
My library emails me when my books are due back.. otherwise I would be paying lots of fines!Indecision is the key to flexibility

I do too many of the above. My worst though is giving things away instead of listing them on ebay. I've got 2 little ones so we regularly have outgrown equipment/clothes/toys. I try to really take care of their things so that they are in a decent condition to sell on, collect boxes ready for the free listing weekends, then take one look at it and put it all away again. I just find it mind-numbingly boring. (Except when I do actually list things, then I'm checking every 5 mins for bids and getting impatient waiting for bidding to end so I can be rid of the blinking stuff!!). I've given tons away to people when I could have made some ££0

Are you on Facebook, ZsaZsa? Is there a buying and selling group on there near to you?
We find that so much easier than eBay. Plus you don't pay fees!0 -

There is (actually theres loads for the surrounding villages too), I think its the uploading photos thing that puts me off. I need to just get on with it and stop putting it off.0 -
Not putting stuff on the line when I can and using the tumble drier, that's probably my worst...
Thats my biggest downfall too. Its a lot easier and quicker to bung the clothes in the dryer.
As for crawling round looking for bargains.... no thats not me either. Its one supermarket and if i cant get what i want, then stuff it! (If i am desperate ive always got a Costcutter close to home but rarely use it). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. My being lazy and not preparing my lunch last night has just cost me £6.49!
£1.99 for a Sainsburys medium salad pot and £4.50 for a wooden chopping board which I HAD to have!0 -
If that chopping board inspires you to prepare three lunches at home rather than buying them in then it was worth it.fattybumble85 wrote: »My being lazy and not preparing my lunch last night has just cost me £6.49!

Those who cba to hang washing out on the line need a change of mindset.
I love it! I get the washing on as early as possible in the morning, so I have time to hang out before the school run (not at the moment though, of course). Children are eating breakfast and s[STRIKE]quabbling, crying, telling tales or just[/STRIKE] chatting indoors and I am outside in the fresh air with the radio on and the birdsong. It's a great start to the day. When I bring it in it's usually while the little [STRIKE]monsters[/STRIKE] darlings are having tea and I again take the opportunity to have a few minutes' peace and air, and sometimes (depending on how stressful the day has been) a cold glass of cider
. They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
