Morning :) Wow ages since I posted - been so so so busy at work but now that's all sorted so back to normality (whatever that is?)

So the theme this week is the utility room starting with the freezer tonight. I'm going to get rid of it as I don't need it basically. We don't use it any more and it's costing money to run. I'm trying to get the cost of my gas and electric down so that's a good starting point.

So this afternoon, whilst tea is cooking, I shall empty the big freezer and make a list of what's there, transfer into the small freezer and switch off the big one - DH can handle that as I presume it'll need to be outside for when it melts?

Only ONE non-standard job down for today - need to go back to Council Tax people with 'one more piece of evidence' to try to convince them that I've not got 1,000's of £££'s in secret accounts .

Please, dear Lord, that this might lead to the end of the current nightmare!

My lovely sister is going away on hols in a couple of weeks and has managed to lose weight :j - resulting in a 'holiday wardrobe' that no longer fits her .

I've volunteered to take everything down 1-2 dress sizes for her - so that's my 'nsj' (non-standard job) for today.

Yesterdays NSJ was to clean the oven which I hate and all the skirting boards (maybe I should do it more often, but I don't).

    Happy Friday :)

To clean some records, I've been pouring EvoStik wood glue all over them.

    Seriously.

I had a snap, crackle, pop record which jumped at one point and after two separate treatments with glue it plays!

    Who knew?
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Who knew indeed!!!! What a good idea!

Tonight's NSJ is to clean the washing machine as it's smelling a bit foisty and there's a mould build up. Will scrub with vinegar/soda crystals and then wash on empty at 90 (not good for my bills but needs doing as some clothes seem to have a nasty smell when they're just freshly washed).
