This thread is for posting any misprices you find at Tescos which give rise to a DTD opportunity.

For new readers:

For clarification SEL stands for Shelf Edge Label, R&R stands for Refund & Retain and DTD stands for Double the Difference.

the Tesco policy on signs instore is :-

"And if things don't add up ~ In the unlikely event you are charged a higher price than on the shelf or the product we will refund you double the difference"

The thread for discussing JTD spots is here

  • Haven't queried a misprice for ages, but in Launceston this morning there was a big promotional sign, various packs of fruit for £1, including apples. Under the sign were 3 large boxes containing bags of apples. The apples scanned at £1.60 so off to CS I went, where they tried giving me 60p cash. They tried to justify this by saying DTD didn't apply where items had been shelf-stacked in the wrong place - seemed a bizarre distinction to me.

I insisted, and they then photocopied my receipt and scanned my clubcard before refunding me £1.20 on the card I paid with - I suspect I've been marked as a troublemaker....

Don't worry yet about being flagged up, just try to keep a low profile for a bit!

Board guides. Please don't just delete remarks. You could simply reply and the short debate could answer other members questions too. The gone section is for deals that have finished. The meal deal glitch is still current please move it back.

went to spend some coupons last night at Mr T's and picked up a 1.4ltr Flash with Febreze all purpose cleaner (New Zealand Springs). Was on the in your face offers shelf with 2 other scents marked half price £1.40. It went through at the till at £2.80. CS went and checked the shelf and came back and said that the scent i'd picked up was not on the offer but as the shelf was fully stocked with that scent they refunded DTD of £2.80. As I'd used a £1 coupon to buy it I figure I've been paid £3.80 for buying it!
  • i am not sure a thread soley for DTD is a good idea.

I agree, think the lack of posts here shows that a dedicated thread for DTD is not really taking off.

it's just a continuation of the previous misprices thread here, nothing different about this one.

    I agree.

Isn't it better to have a single Tesco thread covering, misprices(DTD), glitches, RTC items, & JTD?
