Ok so its day 2
Well, last night i attempted to make some sweet potatoe and butternut squash soup, it went well untill i burnt over cooker the squash with the pine nuts and then it just looked like a bowl of smoked orange bile, needless to say thats in the composter right now.
Will just stick to carrot and corriander from now on.:p
OH grandma gave us a breadmaker a few months ago so i might break it in later on with an attempt on banana and walnut loaf
I had a very vivid dream about an A/C machine at boots last night offering me 1000's and 1000's of points if i went shopping there (bootsing was my saturday ritual) but i still have to go there to get my phone credit so the real test will be on saturday.
HOWEVER i still have all my wages in my wallet from sunday, capitol one has given me a cheque for £21.34 after some card protection took a annual payment and the so called closed acount accepted it! i knew nothing of this card protection:mad:
and my boss gave me and OH £37 in tips for our work over christmas and special carveries, so thats petrol sorted out for the entire month :j

have you got a local LETS scheme in your area, whereby you trade any skills you have for goods/skills you need? I have never used the scheme, dont think its very active in our area, but could be good for you?
best of luck with it all, I am following this with interestCarolbee0 -
No we do not have a LETS here but we have a very busy freecycle.0

Thanks for that, I thought me and my girlfriend were they only ones who'd done that. When we've mentioned it to other people, they looked at us like we were mental, and then with a look of suspicion....:D
Once I told my mates at college, they all started doing it. With the amount of bog rolls the uni was getting through, the dean must've ordered a health inspection of the cafeteria, convinced that we all had the trots! :rotfl:
Of course, now I am a father and pillor of the community (yeah right) I frown on stuff like that, so don't anybody try it. It's naughty.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

Well seem to have hit a small hitch with washing powder, i am rmembering all these things i have to buy now
I am trying the cutting down method with our normal clothes (not brave enought to try it with nappies yet), am using 2 baby milk scoops full and seeing how they come out, im pretty sure the recomended 2 tablets or scoop they give you is a marketing ploy to get you to buy more

Nah im just stingy0 -
Why not go onto Free cycle and see if anyone has any of those 'washing balls' that you don't use degerent with? (They oxygenate the water? About £9 from Lakeland or Kleeneze?) I used them with DD because she had excema but then stopped because (sorry, sad to admit this!) I like the smell better with detergent...It may be worth investing in them anyway?
