    Hi PG,

Just popped in to wish you a good weekend. I've got loads to do mostly domestic routine stuff but I must get a haircut (I go to a Barber's - don't tell anyone! - it is much cheaper - and he likes cutting my hair and chatting in the midst of all the men! - And he cuts really well :T). Then I need to get my runner beans out as they are getting too big for the seed tray and I need to get my hanging baskets planted to hang in the little greenhouse for a week or two. I can do that ijob tomorrow when it's raining. Other than that I need to finish staff appraisals and a bit of other work I should have done yesterday when I was shopping with my friend. That's one of the benefits of the one day I do at home - I know what a day's productivity is, I just do it when it suits me instead of necessarily on that day.

I hope you've got something nice planned
    All the best

I sometimes enjoy doing the domesticy type stuff.

I had a great weekend. Stayed in bed reading until 1pm yest, and only got up then as I was meeting an old school friend who came up from London to visit me. We couldn't go home though, as it was such a mess, so we ended up going to a pub in town. It was really enjoyable, I can't remember the last time I went to a pub that wasn't a 'kids dinner' type pub! (He paid too!) Then we went to the National trust coffee shop, and I got us a cake and a cuppa. After that we wandered around the outlet village arm in arm. It was lovely! Shame he's gay - I would've married him! We had a lovely catch up, and he was telling me all about how they're going through surrogacy and stuff at the moment.

Then, I met another friend for a coffee, and she bought!! And gave a some flowers and a bottle of wine as a belated birthday present.

Then, went to another friend's house and was fed dinner!

This morning, I was quite naughty. I told myself I was going to church, so at half nine I told myself to get up after that chapter, then all of a sudden it was gone half ten! Missed that then. Anyway, went to asda to get a pudd, and went to another friend's hosue for roast pork! She also taught me how to make sugar flowers, as she's an ace cake maker and decorator. After all that, I picked up my children, and now I'm here!

Such a good weekend, but now I need a couple of days off to get over it! I'm so old now!!!!

Absolutely horrified to have to admit to the gc spend for this month. Went back to panicking about food before the interview, so stockpiled again. It's rubbish, as I have spent so long getting the stocks down! Still, onward and upward, can't change that now! I am trying to only spend £40 next month, a la Florenceem, so we'll see how that goes! Have loads of bread ingredients, meal bases, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc!!

Off to bed to finish my book now - Fifty shades of Grey. It's the kindle bestseller at the mo, a few people have recommended it. It's quite, um, interesting, not everyone's cup of tea!! But, like mastermind, i've started so I'll finish!

    Night all,

Hi Teatime! Lovely to 'see' you! Sorry I can't help with subscribing - I have no idea how to do that - I just add pages as favourites. I'm so pleased about the job - don't know if I gave that impression?!?!!!!!!

I spent the grand total of £1.47 today. Went to Morr before dinner, to get some pancakes for breakie. Got three lots, 29p each, and a half price frijj that dd saw. Watered down with milk, it'll do them twice each. They worked out how much it would all cost themselves, and then got the money out of my purse, and worked out how much change they'd get too! I was just patting myself on the back for having raised such intelligent children, when they started arguing over who would type in my PIN! Duh!!!

So, starting May with £40 in my purse, and the freezer so full I have a chair in front of it. Have bread ingredients, dried fruit, all meal meat, spuds, pasta rice, etc etc. Also have enough cat food for the month, I think, although may need to spend 70odd pence on some dried stuff.

I said over on the gc that I was hoping to have 1sd and 6nsd by the 7th of May, with the only spend day being Saturday. That's the aim, and it'll be for fruit and milk mainly.

Gotta go, my book and bad are calling me!!

    Thanks PG.

I found the subscribe bit under one of the thread menus at the top.

You seem to be really organised for May. And I love that your kids are going to grow up being really smart about money!

Mmm, it's one of the drop down options under thread tools - it would let you see from your User CP page which of your subscribed threads have new posts in them (because they go bold). Now I use it, it really is easier than adding things to favourites - so now I just have the User CP page on my favourites bar.

Well, it's the second of the month, and I have all of my budget left.

Today, I have put £100 into my car account, and worked out how much to take out of the bank for my other purses. I haven't even bothered to do that yet, as I know that I don't need to spend from them until at least Saturday. I did put £20 of fuel onto my card (debit) yesterday though, as I'm doing lots of running around this week, and I don't want that hassle, time will be limited enough as it is! I will take out £20 less for the fuel purse to balance it out.

It's weird. And good, at the same time. I made a dinner tonight, and served up the amount I used to eat. Wow, it looked so huge on the plate, and I really struggled to eat it all! I did, because I hate waste, but am feeling rather full now! I can't remember the last time I ate that much! So, that's good, because it shows how much I used to eat, and therefore how much I'm saving now, by eating the right amount. Would kind of like to lose some weight with that!

A friend came and fixed my motorbike for me today, only cost me a cuppa! I can now ring the woman who's buying it and tell her to 'hurry up please!' I need that money in my account.

Really looking forward to dd's tap dancing show at the theatre tomorrow. And Friday and Saturday! She's going to be one tired little girlie!

Positive week overall, and looking forward to relaxing a bit over the weekend. Will only spend when necessary.

I've been promising myself a soak in the bath for about a month now, so I'm off to do that with my book.

    Night all,

    Hope you enjoyed your bath.
We have a plumber coming today to try to fix our hot water. I went to my parents for a shower yesterday. Just think - saving by using up their hot water - hee hee.

Just having a quick sneaky break at work...

I made the children's dinner last night, and it's in the fridge here at work. Just got to remember ti now! I alos have a drink each, some watermelon for pudding and a knife and fork to eat it with! I feel very pleased with myself for remembering everything. Should've seen me this am though, lunchboxes, tap kit, bookbags, dinner, my stuff, handbag, etc etc etc. We felt like mules!! At least the children pull their weight; I'm not one of those mums that carries everything for their children, they have to do it themselves!

Anyway, back to work, catch you up with my spending later.
