No pass no pay? Doesn't that rather encourage the issue of certificates based on a lower level of subjectivity than somewhere that gets paid regardless of outcome?0 -

I would think the owners of such places would be keen to avoid suspicion of that, as the level of inspection by the agency is pretty high compared to what it used to be. If the main /only income stream is coming from testing you wouldn't want to kill the golden goose by shoddy passes.0 -

I use one of these places. If it needs to fail, it fails, but if it can be considered an advisory, it is. They're also very keen on advisorys generally.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -

I can't believe it...This is the Bangernomics thread and people are buying new tyres instead of good quality wheels+tyres from eBay...
Wash you mouth out
PS & before anyone freaks about safety, have bought wheels + good tyres that way for at least the last 8 years and never had any problems0 -
i used to buy a full wheel including tyre with decent tread and usually a decent make for around a tenner a corner.. most scrappies now fit the tyres etc
my bargains gone lol

We had an advisory for a sidelight for one of the Focii, which was repaired there and then.
Common sense IMO, as it's a case of replacing a bulb and the entire car doesn't need a retest.
Speaking of which, the 'W' is legal for another year now. Just dreading the '02' now!💙💛 💔0 -
^ That's a nice clean MOT sheet you have there
Reminds me of a local MOT place that passed my sister's car with no advisories after Kwik Fit filled the page up.0
