the blow maybe the clamp.. they dont use a standard clamp like most do.. they are about a fiver from a factor. the clutch isnt that hard if your handy with spanners. theres a guide on 306 owners club for the hdi engine and its no harder than an engine swap.Sealed pot challenger # 10

Had updated previously but removed it again incase I put the kiss of death on the Audi sale.
Never spent the £140 more and thats it sold and uplifted.
£810 in purchase and parts/repairs for 14 months ownership, or £57.85 a month.
Replaced with this.
11 Months MOT, 5 Months Tax. 4 x new tyres in past 1000 miles and front discs and pads renewed for the MOT. It's the 250D and an auto
I've had to put a battery in it as the one in it was around 550cca which really wasnt enough. Replacements about 975cca and cost £80.
Cost about £45 to get to where it was, the owner filled the tank so I done the 380 miles back home for free. Apart from £1.99 for a king size twix and a can of juice.
The cherry on the cake is it's twin tanked.
So £776.99 including the battery, train and scooby snacks.0 -
It just gets better and better, well done.0

I hate you.
I saw a 220 go for similar money a while ago, absolutely mint but that engine no good for veg. I'd have bought it anyway if I wasn't forbidden from doing so before selling my old car first.I thought yours was it at first. Unfortunately insurance for anything good for veg was a little more than I was willing to part with...
What spec is that?0 -
Nice barge :T0

Just the basic C250 D, no turbo, cloth interior. It's as Lee says, a barge. Gets there eventually, but a big lazy bus. I love it.
Insurance for the remaining 3 months is £8.50 more than the Audi 80 so it should be around £220 TPFT come August.0 -

My old banger is still going (M reg Vauxhall Astra diesel estate) although I really thought she had driven her last mile nearly two weeks ago as there was a god awful noise coming from the engine area.
Dropped her off at the local garage expecting them to tell me that this time, she really was due for car heaven, phone call later in the day telling me the alternator bracket had failed...£36 later and she was back on the road.
We are now avidly looking around for my next banger and hoping it will be as good as this one was....£461 purchase cost from Ebay almost 6 years ago!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
