I think we all slip sometimes. The secret is to get back up and try again. If you have a bad day don't give yourself a hard time, just try again tomorrow. Some days cleaning seems easy and worthwhile. Some days it just seems pointless. Hopefully it balances out and our houses will gradually get a bit cleaner and a bit tidier.

  • Hi All :hello:
Am new to this thread but finding it a fantastic motivation, I really want to be mother earth and have a wonderful home but it never quite comes right for me.
My OH had a word with me yest and explained in a scared but slightly pushy voice that it is ok that I don't want to go back to work so that I can stay at home and look after the kids....who are at school full time, but I might need to do a little bit of housework or someting
I understand-he works hard allday-I try but I just get so bored
This thread however is getting me up off my **** well I will do when I finish my:coffee:
    Thanks to all, LL80:A

    edited to add-
    Monday-Done
    Tuesday-failed miserably
Wednesday-bathroom here I come after maybe just one more:coffee:

I know how you feel loobyloo, it's hard to get motivated when you're all alone, sometimes I'd rather be bored, which is silly because I seem to enjoy it once I've started! I made a cup of tea 40 minutes ago and instead of just sitting down, I get up and do something else. Needless to say, I'm drinking cold tea right now sick.gif

This morning I've cleaned half the downstairs FLOORS! LOL :rotfl: Didn't read that one properly. Never mind, they need it!

    Hiya Loobyloo
I know just want you mean about lack of motivation. Until I found this site I always moaned the house was dirty and untidy and, whilst I can't say it's now perfect, it is so much better now. Most of it actually looks clean and I look forward to getting the jobs done. I guess coz it's all broken down it's so much more acheiveable. So, enjoy!

By the way, I just spent five minutes trying to work out what the abbreviation LL80 was, took me that long to realise it was your name, lol. Cleaning fluid must be affecting my brain!

Well, so far today I've done nothing off my list.. but I have stripped the paint off the sink brackets in the bathroom... and most of the skin off my hands!!

I've also flooded the kitchen and cupboard under the sink so that is cleaned and sorted.

I have to go collect the gremlins now and I need a wee and I haven't got a toilet at the moment (I wouldn't worry but the painters are in so I don't want to leave such a deposit for the plumber) I'll wait while I get to school and use theirs!

I've paid this terms guitar money.. put cheque into school which should clear next Tuesday which is fine because the child benefit goes in Monday.

    Away I go to school.

And I am delighted I have not had any emails with more infernal bridesmaid dresses from my SIL.. she is driving me insane!!
