TCP ticket for parking in a partially marked disable bay at supermarket

Hi, as registered keeper of a car I received a ticket from a PPC (Town and City Parking) at the Fort car park in Glasgow. When the car was parked, just before Christmas in the evening, the person driving checked the ground as they opened the drivers door. There were no zig-zags indicating a disabled bay because this driver absolutely abhors able people parking in disabled bays and never does it. When returning to the car there was a ticket. When checking the ticket it was obvious that it was for parking in a disabled bay , which the driver then doubled checked to find the zig-zags at the other side of the car.
As registered keeper I have now received 2 letters from them ( although sent to my christian name only , no surname on the letters, and both sent within 2 days of each other.
I feel this may be a redundant question but should I just keep ignoring these letters ?

Yes just ignore them, the next in the series will be debt collectors, considering there is no debt makes you wonder why they use them, and then solicitors who are just as toothless, and finally nothing as the scam didn't work on you. They will go after other victims instead. Just ignore as you have been doing already.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
ignore absolutely everything from or related to these clowns, nothing can/will happen to you.0

Thanks Taffy, thought so . Got a letter in November for another ticket (that wasn't there) from a different company for a different car park , heard nothing more. Only difference this time ( apart from different company, different car park :-) ) was the fact that it was a disabled bay , albeit very poorly marked. I will continue to ignore, and await the letters from Whyte & Co.
Thanks again0 -

In any event, disabled parking bays have no relevance in private cars parks. Obviously you should respect them,as a matter of common courtesy, but you are not committing an offence if you do not.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Not perfectly correct col, according to TCP it is an offence somewhat higher than murder, but just below high treason, and they are so affronted that they want to have their profits boosted to get over it...
Just keep right on ignoring, buddy.
And when they give up and look for someone that's easier to con, be sure to come back and confirm our advice was good- just to reassure other victims...0 -
TCP .... been there done them
, I had a ticket from them in an asda car park, that was 4 - 5 years ago, went through the usual excrement from them and Graham White never saw sight nor sound of court though
You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Also be aware that TCP might try and fraudulently claim that their disabled spaces in Scotland are legally enforceable under the DPPPA - I've recently caught them-out on that in another car park.
