http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/7190/traditional-rice-pudding--my-mum-s-way-.aspx is the only recipe I've use for the slow cooker since finding it. It seems a lot of milk to rice but it works. I've cut the sugar down to 1 oz and still found it sweet enough.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0

I use this one - turns out lovely, thick and creamy (although I do only use about 100g of sugar and usually replace some of the milk with the equivalent amount of double cream)
Ingredients
150g pudding rice
40g butter (diced if really chilled)
150g sugar
1.5l milk
pinch of nutmeg
Preparation
Butter the inside of the slow cooker, then throw (not literally!) all of the ingredients in. Give it a good mix, and cook on low for 3 - 4 hours.xxx Nikki xxx0 -

I made rice pudding in the slow cooker for the first time this week and the kids loved it. I used this recipe from bbc good food website:
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1754/a-nice-rice-pudding
I doubled all the quantities and cooked on high for just over 2 hours (I didn't include the bay leaf or lemon zest though)

Mmmmmmmm you've reminded me of my mum's rice pudding in the brown dish in the oven, I could smell it half way home from school.
I remember fighting my dad for the skin on top!
Happy days.
