Glad you liked it - never lasts long when I make it here!xxx Nikki xxx0 -
I substitute some of the milk for a tin of evaporated milk and use light muscavado sugar with a big knob of butter, it ends up like caramel. Yum.0

No, boil in the bag rice is savoury rice.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Is it unflavoured rice? You can use 'savoury' rice (it's all savoury until you add sugar), rather than pudding rice, to make a rice pudding.0

Absolutely - any type of rice can make pudding.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Rice Pudding
2 pints of milk
3oz rice
2oz sugar
Butter an earthenware container and put all ingredients in it and pop in oven for an hour or two on 170. Alternatively you can do it slow cooker.
Might not need so much cooking though as think the grains are processed to cook quickerI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I made rice pudding last Sunday, haven't made it for years. It was so nice, so unlike the tinned variety.0
