Will report back later!0 -
I have had a long day of exam revision but am happy with the amount i have managed to get done
I do wish Saturday would hurry up and come round though, i really cant wait to pay off the biggest debt!!
Have updated my sig after a spend of about £3 today for milk and chocolate
Monday morning i am having to go birthday present shopping, as its my youngests birthday on Tuesday! I cant believe how fast the time is going!!
Beans on toast for dinner tonightit may be boring to some, but we like it.
Going to have dinner, have a nice long hot bath, then curl up in my PJs, do some more exam revision and write tomorrows shopping list.0 -
Paying off that debt is going to be such a weight off your mind Cleggie, I'm so happy for you, it is well deserved!
I'm going to have beans tonight too, I fancy them as you know I'm not having the best of days, so working on a little of what you fancy does you good, I'm having them with chips!
I'll get back with the recipes, but tonight's meal is self indulgent yumminess.....

Hiya,
It's my first day at home since hols (really busy at work so no time to myself) and whew, halfway through the domestic list thought I have earned a cup of tea and a catch up!
My personal beans on toast fave is on toasted cheese on toast but we are all cheese monsters here
Re hols
We took our son out just once in his last year at junior school and it crossed-over with the spring half-term so it was part school holiday and part term time - my advice is that that last half term is the best of the available times to go - either immediately after half term or immediately before the end of term as they miss least in this half-term slot. I can tell you are concerned about their reputations at school. Also your oldest is 12 so year 8/9 - it needs to be before GCSE courses start and if he is one of the youngest in year 9 just check when the key stage tests are (usually before HT) so he doesn't miss anything like that. I am guessing you will have exams in May so this might work for you.
We also got DS to write a diary while we were away and he took it in to school to show he had done something while off and they actually posted some of it on their web-site, which was brilliant for him. We had been lucky enough to be in Florida and went to Cape Kennedy to find there was a Mars rocket due to be launched - so we went back to see the launch - very educational and also brilliant :T
All the best

Got my student loans this morning..and promptly paid my biggest debt of £1140.26 :j:T:D
Am really really pleased!!!! Only the DWP to go now!
Spent £1500 within 45 mins of waking up this morning, on the debt, kids beds, asda shop, paying of CC. I have come to the conclusion that i really dont like giving money to asda (or any SM!!). WOW- What a change!
Its reasonably nice weather outside, so we are going out for the day.0 -

Thanks SL. I am so pleased to know its paid off, and the CC too.
Have had a fab day out with the kids today, only paid £6 for entry, would have normally cost £35!
Am knackered now though0 -
Morning!
I received an email showing my nil balance on my big debt yesterday, so i was very pleased with that
Cant believe i am on page 20 of this diary aready!!
Well, i think i am just going to potter around the house today, cleaning and tidying and getting us all ready for the week ahead with school/uni/revision. Now that i dont have to drive into uni 3 days a week, i am noticing a huge difference in how long petrol is lasting! I am not spending all that much on petrol at all at the moment!
I am off into Plymouth tomorrow to get the kids some trousers. My 12 year old was moaning all day yesterday that he has no clothes that fit himso i need to go to sports direct and get some. Luckily, i dont need anything.
Its my youngest sons birthday on Tuesday, and the £80 i saved from the passport photo budget will cover thatHe wants DSi points and a few toys, and my mum has given him some money to get some stuff.

Your day out sounds fab .... I'm also having a lazy day - need to do an inventory of the freezers and cupboards .
Discovered the other day that I've 6kg of pasta and 2kg of spaghetti in(have been buying ones here & there when it's been on offer) and 6kg of rice
(bought a load at HB as it was 99p for Tilda and it's over £4 in the sm) which will last me probably a year!
