    Was meant as joke really.

I don't think the situation is helped by bonus offers and having to chase rates around like a looney. The amount of accounts i have held in the last few years is beyond a joke.

If it's like their previous e-ISA account, it's trivial to just go online and transfer from there into your current account (in my case a FlexAccount), and from there wherever you like. Doesn't seem too hard to me.

I've got an InvestDirect account from years ago, that seems to qualify. The only way to withdraw from this by cheque via the post - not keen on that, had a bad experience with a cheque going astray in the post before..... Is the cashbuilder account the same ?

Oh for the good old days of just withdrawing and depositing directly to a savings account......

Just been told that I can transfer my Nationwide eISA into this now, avoiding the problem of the bonus falling off it in the Summer.

Yes, I can confirm that (after seeing your message) I transferred online from eISA and it's a quick and painless process (and I've already received an email saying "it's all done" one day later!).

A good point although not strictly correct. The last time I did a transfer, it took 5+ weeks to go through.

Interest is backdated to when they receive your application at the Nationwide, I believe.

Hope its not closed quickly, this is brill with instant access. Im tied till 29.03

if anything (going by previous years), give it 3 weeks & it'll be even better rate. Probably an extra 0.1% (maybe on balances of £10k or £25k)

The Nationwide Isa is not really any good if your not a customer already. To open a card account they want £100 deposit.

I have just opened a Nationwide Flex account (their current account) in order to open a cash ISA. I wasn't asked to put any money in to the Flex account.

Recently transferred from Santander and Halifax into Nationwide Online ISA version 3, now wondering whether to transfer to Santander at 3.3% or Natwest at 3.5%. I have to say, the fact that these two have either a variable rate, or variable rate and bonus, is somewhat of a concern.
