Surely you can just open the account with £100 and just transfer it into the isa?

Not sure- But still more hassle for .05% interest.

I guess we need clarification, thanks for pointing this out!
I'll see what everyone else's opinion is, then i'll open one on a monday.

Does anyone know if you need to make an appointment to open an account and isa in branch?

Hmm, tempting to open one of these with this years allowance then transfer my Halifax ISA in April to it, I already have a flexaccount.

I opened mine online last Friday, I received my cashbuilder account details earlier in the week, and they gave me my ISA account number when I phoned them. I collected a transfer form from the local branch, completed it and took it back in yesterday. The lady who had it from me said she would key the details in and it would show on my account as soon as could log on to my account, Today I received my cash cards and registered online. I will get the logon details in 3 to 5 days, so it seems to be going quite smoothly so far. My Halifax ISA expires on 29th February.

I thought they only launched it today? I know they did previously have a very similar online ISA running until today, which too offered 3.10% and allowed transfers... but you needed a balance of £25,000+ to qualify for the highest rate, and the rates below that were tiered in relation to your balance??

Are you sure you didn't open the previous issue?

    :)

Just pointing out if youve used you ISA allowance this tax year, you cant transfer till 6th April as you have to have a minimum of £1000 to open the A/C.
Just telephoned customer service, who advised that I can open the account with a transfer of £1000+ as opposed to actually having to credit £1000+ (I'd be unable to as you say, because I'm already fully subscribed for this tax year).

    HTH :)

where can you get 9% from highest I seen is around 5% give or take for a fixed deal over 5 years

No,no..the quoted 9% return is not from a rip off cash ISA. Its from a funds ISA.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

If one has a few ISAs from different years with different providers, can he bring all these into one ISa with RBS for example or the other mentioned on this thread. If so does a separate form have to be filled in for each transfer?

    Thanks

Yes you can consolidate your ISAs into one ISA. A transfer form will need to be completed for each ISA you wish to transfer.
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place
