Back now, took a break out with everything going on, took DD away for half term. The break did her the world of good, both of us.
We did a day trip to a wildlife park, and she had a camel ride, she fed a giraffee and an elephant.
Back to the debt busting with avengance now, plan in 2mor sort out Junes payments.
Not helped as dad had a bump in my car at the weekend, broke my brake light and apparently put a small dent in the wheelarch of another car, apparently as he was reversing, all clear then this bloke shot out of nowhere, so insurance job, thou my excess £250, but it be cheaper for us to repair ours, just have to wait and see what the other driver tries to claim for, feels like spent the last 2 days on calls to ins company.
No news on my open uni results, - was meant to be 15th june, now 20th june, have no nails left by then.... if all ok be foundationn degree in business.
Dentist on Monday, had to have a tooth out, and boy did it hurt, quite funny when the dentis said do you want to see it........ but I had to break it in half to get it out, so i kindly refused his kind offer! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi M21, :wave::wave::wave:
How are you, hope you are DD are well. We went away for half term as well. It was quite nice but a shame the weather wasn't nicer. I went away with the in laws which was a bit of a strain but on the whole a nice time was had by all. DD wanted to go and play in the amusements one day and so I gave her a pound to change into tuppences for those machines that push backwards and forward. MIL commented that she didn't agree with gambling  It was about this time that I started to laugh, rather than get annoyed. The enjoyment on DD's face and the time that she played with the tat that falls off the end when the 2ps fall down was well worth the risk of a 7 year old with a gambling problem.
I think when we have been on holiday in the past abroad with them, they have paid so I tend to just go with the flow of what everyone else wants to do but this holiday was my holiday with the doglets and I paid for it, so I think my tolerance levels were down a bit (might have been a bit of PMT too!).
Your experience with the dentist makes me feel a bit squeemish! I hate the dentistsJust keep swimming!0 -
DD loves those 2p machines, me as well, gd for u putting your foot down. back to reality with a bump, DD wants to go back to Tunisia, she loves it there, for once she doesn't look pale!!
Back to debt busting, why on why can't there be a magic wand! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Debtbusting for june started, just as my bank account was starting to look healthly!! but pd off £310 so left with a couple of bills for the month! not quite 6 months through the year and already on 53% of my ideal repayment this yr.
Just need the CSA to get there rear into gear, that is joke of the year, to date theres £400 of arrears, suppose to be recieving a payment in July,- thou wont believe it till i see it, the excuses have been unbelievable!! that would help get things for DD so wouldn't be worrying too much, not that she goes without, but sometimes esp school holidays money only stretches so far. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
lovely to see you and DD got away on holiday and had a good time...hope you don't have to wait too long until you get your uni results0

I know i didn't start this diary till feb, but the figures were from Dec's statements, so used Mays statements for upto date figures. would be brilliant if interest wasn't added on but hey can't have it all ways.
new debt free figure - 244402
Positives-
paid 4 debts, 2 Open Uni fees, paid camera on mums argos and paid for the xmas prezzies on her card £130 (hadn't put on original debt).
New plan - by end of june have a new repayment plan in action and see if I can increase some of the bigger payments, next debt to pay off is studio as interest is 49.9%, but looked if I pay minimum by DD its 29.9%, then I can chuch extra at it. Set myself to dec to get that paid off. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
you're getting there..well done0

I've just had a bash at doing a snowball and it gives me debt free date of Feb 2020. So I really intend to push myself to get debt free by then,. be half debt free as that be all cards etc, then the step from there be replace savings etc, but small steps soon become big strides.
I still intend to squash studio by xmas... xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
