I will be honest and say have been doing a bit of head in the sand, not from an on purpose thing, but my head been in 1001 places - sorting everything else out, I feel mean saying this but since the day we were told there has not been 24 hrs that I can actually say I have had 24 hrs to me - whether its been popping to the shop, ringing someone, fetching DD from school, issues at school (at times If I could magic a new school I would).
Today - DD opticians, then tip run, emergency shop for cheese, as dad was craving it, then chemist, (surprise the doctors havent issued a prescription). post office... silly things that take there time...
Weve been trying to get at least one day a week that we take dad out somewhere, to make some memories...
so far...
Feed the ducks at local lake
Falconary centre
Posh farmers market / cafe
Rhyl / Towyn
Local sunday Market
Country pub by canal - use to go yrs ago.
Then 2mors trip.... Going on a horse drawn canal trip...
.....
The plan is DD and I are going to get away for the weekend, we should have been in Gambia this Easter, from Tunisia being cancelled last yr, so we booked Gambia, with the dad situ we tried to claim on ins - we were misinformed - lost £1.7k.....xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Ouch mum2one - is there no chance of getting any of it back?
Hope you create lots more memories with your dad.

Not a chance. I've tried all ways. - it boils down to when I asked was i covered for Gambia - gave the policy name - told yes - but as I didn't give policy number there's nothing to tie it up with, even with proof of calling it be a needle in a haystack.
Even thou we booked with national chain we used a specialist supplier the only option they gave us was October from London - can't do it, where if it had been main agencies they let u swop for an admin fee...
I'm just glad we've got some time with dad, be honest worried for my dd as he has been dad to her since day 1, so as well as losing her grandad she's like losing her dad xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Were still plodding along, dads going on ok, we did have a panic as he had some falls, - that was blood pressure, so he had to take it easy when getting up..
He has food cravings... mineral water, kippers, spring onions, black pudding...bournvita
Been some extra visits to the supermarket.... bar the bourvita, its either Amazon or Ebay - only sold in India.... it keeps him happy.
I'm still dithering over debts - working throu making sure everyone gets £1 each (3 more to do) then def need to do SOA for stepchange - let them deal with it.

Oh Mum2one, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. There is nothing I can say to ease your pain, but please be assured that your MSE family (stalkers like me, and those who post regularly) are all with you. xxxOH OD - £100.00/£100.00 Joint OD - £100.00/£100.00StepChange: £10,057.670
