    Xmas Saver!
I have just had a mad idea tonight, its a weird one how it came about, as most people know, my parents lost their 1st daughter with cancer, she was only 18 mths old, and this month she would have been 48. Its weird as I was born 2 years and 2 days from when my sister passed away, Miss Hoodie was born 35 yrs and 2 days from my sisters birthday.

So I am setting myself a challenge to do 50 things for charity, by September 2017 (her 50th).
    Thinking...
Cancer - she passed away with cancer
Dogs - She loved my grandparents dog, and the dog my parents had, I got to spend 8 years with him.
Baby/Child - She was diagnosed as a baby with cancer

Its not going to be great feats like climbing everest/ raising 10k, more on a personal level, whether taking bag of items to charity shop, knitting blanket for dog, giving towels, bedding to dogs home.

In planning mode at mo, doing palm reading at swishing event, for kids mobility charity, crochet 10 blankets for charity - for babies that are born sleeping..., next charity shop trip, drop off a bag at hospice shop.

Another month has bit the dust... Got there ok, thou its been a roller coaster of a month, DD had her bday party, thou it was touch and go at one stage as the cinema had debited me twice for cinema tickets (10 of them!), but have to say thank you, as they gave me the tickets for free, saved a fortune, then it was a meal at a chinese.

It was so nice to see kids from different schools (although there in 2nd yr of secondary), she has got some really good friends there.

DD's birthday was quiet, shes had a viral infection for week and half, knocked her for 6.

Money wise, it was expensive month, new glasses, the car mot, service and some work done on it, so all money went to quickly

Hoping October will be less mad spending, need to start getting my Christmas hat on.

Some good news I won £100 of amazon vouchers, - they havent been spent yet, do I save them and put towards something bigger, or do I buy a mixer that I really want.... decisions decisions.... thou what ever happens give DD £20 to treat herself.

The one settee broke the springs went it in, lucky have managed to source an idential one from TEsco, half the price of what we originally spent, but an expense we could do without.

    ----
    October Plans

    Finish latch hook kit
    Letters wrote for school fayre
2 letters to write - recorded delievery
Check smoke alarms - replace batteries
Ebay / facebook - min of 20 items
    Check Xmas cake ingredients
DD - kitted out winter clothes
    Submit meter readings - elec
    Budgets Oct/Dec
    Sort garage
Sort dining room - get new table set up
    Gut front room
    10 items angel babies
    flu jabs
    asthma review
    blood test

I'm sure there be more to do xx

Today I felt like I had a mini breakthrough, I drew money out of the bank for what I needed from town, odds and sods, it made me really think do I need it, I even put a box of chocs back on the shelf....

Bless her heart my DD treated me to a takeaway pizza tonight, she wouldn't take any money back, so I popped half back across to her bank account. She is really one in a million...

    xx
