how can I go back to the old look? - Ive tried but it stays the same - I cannot read the font eeasily now, the central column is so small!

I won't mind the change to the new style, it seems mostly cosmetic. What I would like, and I have seen on other boards, is a button that takes you to the last unread post, not just the last post. This would make it much quicker to catch up on fast moving topics. Any chance please?

There's always been one of those, it's the little 'down-arrow' immediately to the left of any threads shown in bold (ie with unread posts in them).

I agree with an early comment that it looks 'flat'. There is less definition around each box, and I prefer the bolder definition of the previous set up.

Also, I can't see that it's actually any bigger? So what is the point?

I'm still using the old design but I can report extreme slowness too. I'm using a quad core laptop with the latest IE9. Occassionally IE reports that the page is taking a long time to respond due to a long script. Other times IE becomes totally unresponsive (especially if I have more than 1 MSE tab open at once). I'm not experiencing any difficulties with any other site & this has only been occuring for a few days.

I fully agree.

I dont know what they have done here but since the new stuff it is now taking ages for each pages to load. Its a nuisance.

Before, I would click to go to another page and be able to scroll down immediately.
Now when I click to go on a new page, I have to wait and wait a bit longer before I can scroll down or do anything.

Its only this website that it happens on and only since the changes started.

I find comping very hard in this new format - I use the date of posting and I'm finding it difficult to both see the date on the right hand side and also then link it in to thanking and entering button. I know I'm only one person, but I really dislike it!!

Windows XP, Safari 5.0.5, using the NEW new version stretchy.

I can't see the ticks either. Although I can in some versions - I think on IE - but not in chrome.
