So glad to hear yours is back too confused!!!
Good news all round!
I also wish there was some news on that lovely scottish dog...such a sad story.
Tallgirl, she was one street over but about 30 houses down. about half a mile, not really that far and she must have heard me calling. I think probably hunger would have driven her to jump down in another day or so but you never know, do you?
Hopefully, this thread might give others hope in the future
Just keep passing the open windows.0 -
Didn't want to post when you still had cats missing, but ours disappeared one evening, wouldn't come in when I called which isn't like him at all. Spent a worried, sleepless night. Opened the curtains the following morning to find I'm looking at him in the bedroom window of the house opposite. They'd gone on holiday and he'd got in through their catflap. Our neighbour who was looking after their cat didn't check upstairs despite me telling her our one was missing, before she locked the catflap for the night.
woah really! You must have done a double take! I'm glad you found him though xSo glad to hear yours is back too confused!!!

thanks rj....it's a relief isn't it. I'm sure this thread will be a ray of hope to someone in the future. I hope the little dog comes home soon too xx0 -
So, so pleased for you rj and confused that your furbabies came home. It's such a worrying, stressful time-whether it be a dog or a cat who disappears.
One of mine -Baldrick disappeared three years ago, but every couple of months would just turn up, eat and disappear again, was very odd. When we hadn't seen him for 10 months, we resigned ourselves to the fact he'd gone for good, until I opened the local paper, and the local CPL had printed a picture of a 'stray' they had taken in- Baldrick! They said to take a photo of him with us to prove he was ours, but when I went into the pen he flattened me, so no need for any other proof.
Got them all microchipped now, and neutered/spayed. Now if your cats have met Ruars on their travels.........:)Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x
If you can't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.
I will respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them

YAY! YAY! YAY! AGAIN - I THINK WE ALL NEED A GROUP HUG (and yes the shouting is intentional!) :grouphug:i also have good news....our cat came through our bedroom window this morningYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -
Thank you all so so much for all you kind words of encouragement. We have a happy ending!
Last night, I had a call from someone who said a cat was stuck on her garage's roof. This was on the same street I had been walking up and down but a long way down the street, much further than I had walked. When I described her over the phone , the woman said it sounded just like her.
I grabbed the cat carrier and my liitle girls and I went haring up the road and there she was!!
As soon as she saw me and I spoke to her she started meowing and chattering like crazzy! She was so loud and paced the garage roof back and forth but wouldn't jump!! The people in the house fetched their step ladder and I grabbed her to safety!!confused76 wrote: »i also have good news....our cat came through our bedroom window this morning :j (there isn't even a smilie to denote how happy and relieved we are) she was soaking wet and cold so i dried her off and fed her straight away, which she wolfed down.
Awww fantastic news :j so happy for both of you.
My wee cat is a nightmare for getting stuck on people's garage roof's - I think she manages to get up as a lot of them back onto the fences around the gardens (6 ft) but then can't get down again....Our vet doesnt recommend collars at all for cats, she says if the cat goes out they can get snagged on tree branches and
the cat gets stuck because they cant get off again. (obviously the cat needs chipping)
Absolutely agree - if you do use a collar, please use one of the breakable ones...Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
