    Hi all

I'll do a loner post later picking up on all your news but right now I really need help before I lose my mind.

I am REALLY struggling to think of what to get BM's and MIL2B and my mum for their wedding presents. I don't want to get the BM's jewellery as I have already got them a necklace and earrings for the day and I'm now at my wits end

    Any ideas please :)

Do you need specific presents? Mine had their "presents" as their BM jewellery & handbag (with a couple of little bits in) and I couldn't afford extra presents, but also didn't think they needed them after all that and their dresses!!

So instead I got them personalised cards from Not on the Highstreet - saying e.g. "Lucy, thank you for being a beautiful bridesmaid" They absolutely loved them :)

I was going to say the same thing - my bridesmaids' presents ARE their jewellery. They also have bags, shoes and dresses that they could wear again so they have done well I think! Not sure why you necessarily need separate presents too.

Confetti.co.uk has some nice personalised gifts like compacts, trinket boxes etc though if you wanted something like that.

My BMs are getting their jewellery too! I saw cute necklaces on Etsy which I was all set to buy but realised I could get the bits separately and make them up myself to save 2/3rds the cost! I also got T shirts printed by Vistaprint that say Bridesmaid and our wedding date on them.
I'm seeing them this weekend so will hand everything over then with a card. Really wish they were still coming to LV but meh... stuff happens.
My sister is getting the necklace and T shirt too, plus two dresses ( :rotfl: !) and will make up a gift box with some make-up and other bits in. Will hand them over in LV, not sure what to get my mum though! Am going shopping tomorrow to get hopefully the last few bits so will look for something then :)

I think we might do flowers for the mums at the reception, and I was going to write the in-laws a card from me. Hope this helps a bit Faith! Not sure what else to suggest, have you got something for the guys in the wedding party already? Or is it just the girls?

Fingers crossed for your hair trail Cats, and hope the price is right.

Glad things are looking up for you too Lil_miss

Daisie, your gift to OH sounds lovely. I've got OH personalised converse, not sure if he's got/getting me anything but I'm not going to worry about it! I'm getting so excited too, said bye to some people at work who are off next week, got a tear in my eye as they were all wishing me well.

We got OHs suit today! He looked so handsome, got another tear in my eye :D Ended up buying one and they're rushing the alterations so he can take it to LV as well yay! Also got a camcorder so we can make a video diary of our adventure :)

Ikea last night was a success, got the candle holders and some little soft toys for the kiddies reduced to 50p each.

So this weekend I need to:

    Make truffles
    Make frame for escort cards
    Finish posies for centrepieces
Make gum paste flowers for the cake
    Put guestbook into frame
    Finish flowers girls outfits

If I have time I will:

    Start making up favour boxes
Organise stuff into one box per table
Drop flowergirl dresses and page boy outfit off to respective parents

    Next week I need to:

Chase the last RSVPs for final meeting on Friday
Email various suppliers (to check final payment dates!)
Finish and print table numbers, signs, colouring books for kiddies
    Make up kids gift boxes
Write names on all the place cards & escort cards
Oh and mustn't forget to pack :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Faith- Our mums both have engraved silver compacts from ebay! About £8 each and not the best quality but a nice idea and they are a nice momento of the day. Our bridesmaids are having their jewelerry we had the necklaces made from somebody we met at a wedding fayre but before that I was looking at personalised silver trinket boxes (again ebay)....good luck in finding something.

Caz-so sorry to hear about your hair/make up but glad you seem to have found someone who you feel comfortable with...I think it makes such a difference...feeling relaxed with someone.

Daisie- looks like you are being very spoiled- and so you should!

Lil-miss- So glad that you and OH have worked through things so you can enjoy your day. So much pressure on all of us as the day gets closer. I know I just want everything to be perfect...but it will be what it will be...and we will be married after and that is all that matters really is what I keep remembering.

Not done much wedding stuff today...had lunch with fiancee - our last date alone since its school hols now and step daughter off...going to take her for haircut over the weekend and just spent some nice family time.

    Eeeeeeeek so excited!!!

Finally finished my marking yesterday and my work stuff has gone away completely! Feel very relaxed today :) We've already drunk a bottle of Prosecco...

OH has been paying some balances today for various things and I have put together the boxes of things for each table.

I am left with 12 favours leftover and I'm not really sure what to do with them...it isn't enough to give them to evening guests. I wondered about maybe giving extras to my friends with children (they are little organza bags of sweets) to take them home for their children...but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. If it was one or two left over I'd just stick them in my memories box and not worry about it but with 12 I kind of want to do something with them.

scared1, that's a really nice idea about having lunch with your fianc!e before the wedding. I think OH and I are going to do the same on Monday - as soon as I read your post I thought yes - that's really important to do before the wedding. We have been so busy I can't remember the last time we went out for a meal just the two of us.

skoobs, your lists are very organised! :) my list is practically empty now....which is slightly worrying because I keep thinking I must be forgetting something!!!

Picking up my dress tomorrow...SO EXCITED! Hope it is as nice as I remember. I need to put it on at my mum's house and practise walking around in it, going up and down stairs and sitting down! I have never even sat down in it!

Hope everyone's plans are going well :)

Don't panic about this - I was weirdly supersticious and didn't want to wear my dress at all before the day (apart from fittings) and it just all came naturally when it came to it! Whatever you do don't start over worrying about any aspect, you will just feel like a princess :)

Yay! :) I am currently 'wearing in' my wedding shoes. Well, I am wearing them....does it count as 'wearing in' when I am just sitting down?! :rotfl:

Have you got any pics of your day yet? :D

I don't think I will be able to see as far back as I want to when I type this, argh!

Glad you got the outfit sorted Daisiegg! I saw your post about hosiery, oh my god, this was such a massive stress for me. I have open toe shoes and want to show my shoes off as much as possible as I had them heavily customised so tights wouldn't work but I wanted something to help avoid what I have lovingly termed 'chub rub' on my inner thighs :o. After coming across a few options I have ended up going for some M&S white lace light control shorts with a cheap as chips £6 primark shaper to go over the top, it goes from under my bust to mid thigh - real sexy! :rotfl:

I have the 'stuff' issue too, it's even worse because I'm going from mums to wedding to home and literally out to airport so I am writing a list of things I MUST take from mums to wedding and I guess I will just pack a little bag and ask one of my friends to look after it?

Skoobs - OH now not changing suit, worse than a woman! Still working on the gift thing but came up with a few household items we need and also vouchers for photobox so we can have a wedding album made. I love your pics! Great colour ;), I love the vegas chips too, it's great when you can make a wedding really personal :j

Caz - I am really sorry to hear about your hairdresser, it's horrid when people let you down so close to the day. I am pleased it sounds sorted though and the shoes sound like a nightmare too, it's always the little bits that prove the most difficult!

LMI - great news on the offer and sorry for making you want a videographer! Really pleased to hear that things are better with your OH too now :)

Daisie, you and your may have seens! I am glad my OH is so oblivious to what I have bought and arranged for him as I think he would feel a bit overwhelmed! I remember being about 14 and telling my mum I wanted a decanter as a wedding present when I got married....I wonder if she has remembered? :D Glad you are feeling all relaxed now term has finished, you must be on mega countdown now?

Faith - I am paying for my mum and BMs hair and make up and mum has flowers and BM has a chocolate bouquet, I also have a little giftbag for them with a keepsake - mum has a personalised frame and BM has a hanging heart, MiL also has flowers.

Well, I had my birthday/hen do 2 yesterday with my best friend, the quad biking was absolutely ace but boy do my arms ache today! It was only the two of us and the instructor and we were sliding around all over the place in the mud! We then went for lunch at the restaurant my evening reception is at and I stuffed myself silly and my friend wouldn't let me pay! Then I had my mobile beauty lady round and had my nails done, I managed to actually nod off during my head massage and only woke up because I apparently snore snorted and I heard everyone laughing! Also had my first ever spray tan ready for main hen do tomorrow, I was worried this morning because I was MEGA dark but now I like it, I needed to try it out before the wedding.

Still need to get some sand for my centrepieces and make them up next weekend, I also need some boxes to put the bits in for each table but they seem to be a nightmare to find at the moment! Starting to confirm arrangements with everyone and just waiting to hear that my hand painted votive holders are ready which will be the final bit for the tables. I am working all of next week so need to get as much done as possible this weekend so I can *hopefully* relax next weekend?! OH is on his stag do tomorrow so I am going to get up with him and try and finish typing up what I want to write in his groom journal ready to actually write it in. I also need to wrap his main present and get the other bits ready to pack.

I also need to do a packing list for honeymoon as I will have to do that on the 8th I think (I am hoping I can take the day off!). I have a major waxing session booked for next Saturday and then eyelashes and nails/pedicure booked for the night before.

    must not get drunk tomorrow
    must not get drunk tomorrow
    must not get drunk tomorrow
    must not get drunk tomorrow

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D
