And you really think the middle of an open forum, in view of everyone, is the time and place to 'give your help'? What on earth kind of 'benefits advisor' are you, I sure hope myself or any of my family ever have to deal with someone like you. You're most unkind in attitude and most unforgiving in tone.0 -

and what makes you such an expert then???? we have been told not to discuss our finances on here which is what we are doing.
we will accept help anywhere we can but, you are a stranger on a public forum who wants to discuss the ins and outs of our entitlement forgive me for not being trusting but its the age we live in. if you really wanted to help you could have contacted myself or ross either through a pm on here or a dm on twitter. so forgive me doubting your reasoning behind your "offer" of help0 -

What is the benefits board about then?thedrsmisses wrote: »and what makes you such an expert then???? we have been told not to discuss our finances on here which is what we are doing.

Who has told you not to discuss your finances on here? You have not stated that before.0 -

It's about being able to post a question in anonimity, giving only as much information as a person feels they wish to as is their right.
Unless you're saying that noone has that right.
Tell you what, can we ask you your full name and a bit about yourself, enough for full identification means if need be, before moving on to discuss your personal medical financial situation in public, only in great depth and detail? Above and beyond what you feel comfortable sharing? That seems fair!
You aren't a benefits advisor are you? I thought not.0 -
Just to clarify, in case it helps anyone else in the OPs position, a family with one disabled parent, a dependant partner and two school age children should receive the following:
IB
Age Addition
Dependant Addition
Maximum Child Tax Credit
Housing Benefit (small deduction as income greater than applicable amount)
Council Tax Benefit (small deduction)
DLA (rate varies according to care needs)
I won't post the amounts, but there is no doubt that it comes to more than £11,000 pa.0 -
it has been moved from the benefits board, i think that happend on the first day
and yes i have mentioned that before in one of my previous posts, but my posts never seem to get read properly everyone seems to pick out hat they want to moan about.0 -

nice to see you listen, we are not entitled to some of that.

They are an anonymous as "Ross", aren't they?
I am not the one that claims to only receive £11,000 for a family of four now, am I? If someone chooses to publicise their financial situation, as he has, he cannot expect people to hold it as fact without substantiating it. It simply has no substance.0 -
