MSE News: 'I'm on benefits but I'm no scrounger'

You should perhaps stop measuring others by your standards. I have read about the teaming up of atos and NHS on BMJ/BMA and other medical journals (that is if you have ever heard of them)............and i think the atos is doing a grand job.
I'm more than familiar with journals. I'll go look them up in my University library (we have a University Teaching Hospital). So, yes, do provide your sources - because that sort of 'news' never gets anywhere near a peer reviewed journal. And, as I've stated, there is NO partnership between the NHS and ATOS. It's quite clear from all the official statements exactly what the relationship is between them (where it exists). That is - the NHS employs ATOS in some places and ATOS are hiring NHS staff under sub-contract because they can't cope with their benefit claimant volumes. None of that implies any sort of 'partnership'.
ATOS aren't "doing a good job". They are doing an exceeedingly biased job, motivated by idiots whose only aim is to cut the benefit bill. But those same idiots (of which Ian Duncan Smith is the chief one) are too politically tied up to do what is really needed - which is to stop fraud, rather than increase the suffering of those who don't, in a civilised society, deserve to suffer more than they already do.
Your definition of a 'civilised society' appears to be one, not of fairness, but of "I'm alright, the rest of you can look after yourselves". If that were true we wouldn't get things like the major charities coming together to fight this stupidity.0
