I think its about time that MSE closed this thread - absolutely shocking. I can't believe that so many morons are actually in work. God help us all!

The anti benefit propaganda machine started by the government has a few more "savings" made by the death of these 6 children.

That's the old "scrounger" husband had been featured on the Jeremy Kyle show and in the tabloids such the daily Mail. etc.

Has got 17 children by 5 different women blah blah.

Unfortunately for him he isn't a Somalian refugee otherwise like the Lawrence case we'd never hear the end of it.

As far as I can see it is already swept under the carpet.

Yes so there we have it 6 kids now burned alive and dead through Iain Duncan Smiths propaganda machine. ( A disgruntled worker it appears set these alight after seeing the papers and tv programmes).:rotfl:

Didn't our biggest "benefit scrounging" family in UK have a very big birthday bash recently, RAF fly-pasts, banquets, the lot, costing us all millions?

I find it amazing that people, especially politicians, will happily 'point the finger' in a somewhat derisory way, at anyone claiming benefits.
Yet we have tax fiddling on a massive scale by large UK companies, mostly household names, setting up token offices in tax havens and getting away with millions of pounds of tax non-payment to Britain and a government actually making moves to aid and assist them do it.
The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.

Why should anyone have to justify themselves to others on here? It is no business of anyone else whether this person or that claims benefits. That is matter between them and the relevant authorities. Whatever they claim will have to be subject to approval and rules: people on ESA have to get a sick note from a trained doctor, people on JSA have to satisfy the conditions of the labour market, etc.
What a sad, prurient, and thorougholy nasty little society we have become. Disabled people are now routinely subject to the most appalling hate crimes, jobseekers are victimised and people in work are made to feel like scroungers. This is what the tories are all about; divide and rule. I am currently ashamed to be a citizen in such a nasty society. That some people feel obliged to come here and publicly tell their story when it is of no business to anyone else at all is disgusting. This is exactly what the likes of Cameron want, when they turn up at Asda to provide a vile soundbite calling on people to be jealous of their neighbours who must be scroungers - solely on the basis of having their curtains closed at the wrong time of the day!
If you are jealous of someone living on benefits, you are a very morally bankrupt, intellectually bereft and sad individual indeed.

Do we know what happened in that case? Last I heard they arrested the parents!

An appalling case all round, and one happily capitalised on by Carole Malone who is another idle gossip given too much airtime.

"Benefit fraud is theft, and we are committed to catching benefit thieves and bringing the toughest penalties against those who commit this crime - no ifs, no buts. The public are fed up with benefit thieves stealing money intended for society's most vulnerable. There are no excuses for taking money that isn't yours."

The current mob haven't started anything.

They don't, but should they attempt to do so, then I feel that it's only right that others should be able to air their views on the subject.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

They may not have started it, but they have certainly made it a LOT worse.

    Depends what those views are.

Free speech is a wonderful thing, but I have no desire for other people's ignorant baseless propaganda to be given equal platform and therefore equal credence.

    No, it really doesn't.

Tough. You can't shackle free speech like that as that would stop it being free.

If you don't like what people are saying, then either correct them or leave.
