Edinburgher gets cracking!

Wow that hotel deal is great! If you ever see any more in the future please let me know, I'd love to stay in Edinburgher but with friends so close by (30min drive) we always stay there but at £30 a night I'd love to stay in the centre!
It's not a super special offer than I'm aware of, but they still have lots of suitable deals available. Travelodge (so Princess Street or Rose Street). Starting at £29 + 4.04% cashback from TCB as far as I can see
Elated and confused tonight - Santander have acknowledged our OP and applied it, but the payment amounts have changed very slightly (+£2.28 next month, +£0.58 subsequent months). Is this so that they can break down our remaining debt into even amounts?
So pleased to have a bit of paper saying that there is an end in sight (albeit distant sight) to paying for somewhere to live. After 11 years of renting, I can't explain how good that feels :T0 -
Yuck - another miserable looking day out there. I am sitting clock watching and waiting for the weekend

Lacking any work motivation at present, as all my boss does is send out snippy emails to score points, completely ignoring any work I send on
It's days like today when being MFW means the most!
Halifax reward has arrived, £3 to OP Pot and EF. Packed lunch and NSD today, dinner will be a delicious casserole cooked from yellow sticker freezer bargains and I've updated my Amazon Marketplace prices. Still no bidders on my spare concert ticket - starting to get worried as it only has 24 hours left to run. Maybe I should pull it and resell nearer the time?0 -

£30 for a Travelodge in central Edinburgher is fab - thanks for the tip

When is the concert? I find people think about it more when it is close to happening. Sometimes I only hear about concerts when they are advertised on the radio the week of the show so I'd possibly leave it until 1-2 weeks before - or try Facebook selling groups?0 -
Hi Ed
Sorry that your finding today a tough one work wise ... at least it's Friday eh?
I have a rare day off today but not exactly restful as plenty of errands to run and car is at the garage for a service & MOT. Hopefully that won't be too expensive!
I have followed your (and several other people's leads) by paying my Halifax £5 as an OP to the mortgage this month for this first time - so thanks for the heads up. Previously I used to just absorb it into normal day to say spends. Be good to have it working for me in a much better way!

Thanks for that
I take it you have a minimum romance standard for free hotel stays that people buy you?I have followed your (and several other people's leads) by paying my Halifax £5 as an OP to the mortgage this month for this first time - so thanks for the heads up.
Well done BookWorm, long may the good habits continue

That people buy me, yes. But not when I'm paying... I booked 3 nights at lunchtime but best I could get for the dates I wanted was £35. (The MSE in me did consider
£29 the first night then switching to different hotel for £35 the other two nights but I saw sense in that £6! ) MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
