Thanks for popping in Kola - I am feeling pretty focused at the mo :D

Cheque cleared for our first OP this morning, so I am officially on the MFW trail.

I have listed our spare concert ticket on eBay, so hopefully that will repair my coffers a little. The last two months have been horrendous - over £300 spent on birthday and Christmas events!

£1.75 payments to OP Pot and EF, spending the rest of the day cooking and chilling out on a rare Monday off :)
  • We had a lovely walk (about 4-5 miles, including a park, a cafe and the street where Mrs E grew up). I sometimes forget how lucky we are and that having a secure home in a nice part of the world near parks and family is a heck of a lot more than many people get. Counting my blessings today :)

Sounds lovely...wish DH and I had more time to go for walks etc...glad you enjoyed your day.

I see that you list and sell a lot of books, i have a number of very expensive marketing text books that I used earlier on in my uni days but I cant see me using again and dont have the space to store. Therefore I have throught about selling them and just wondered which website do you find give you the best return?

To be honest Laura, I'm not sure.

I've managed to sell a lot of books on Green Metropolis, but they've been almost exclusively fiction. I have a degree in English Literature, so have quite a lot of good books around the house (good as in 'not bestsellers, but well regarded'). I price competitively, look after my books (I'm a trained librarian) and I post them promptly.

Your needs sound a bit more specialised - have you looked at Amazon marketplace? Alternatively, it might be worth opening a thread on the raise your income board to seek feedback from others?

Evening Ed - just stopped by to say hello.
I was an English Lit student too (although guess that may not be a surprise given my name!) lol

£250 credit card bill has left us a wee bit skint - hurray for last payday from my p-t job tomorrow :)

Token £1 payments to OP Pot and EF, taking a packed lunch to work and dinner will be fish from the freezer before my extra long driving lesson this evening.

Thanks, I will have a look at Amazon, that was what I was thinking just didnt know if there were any better ones.

In a way I am reluctant to part with them as they are in brilliant condition and barely been used, but i am pretty sure I wont use them again and dont really have space at home to store them.

Can you contact the university Laura and see if they will sell them on to current students for you?
