Really touched by the messages everyone
The doctor did not seem to be overly concerned, the facts that Mrs E isn't experiencing any pain and the baby still has a strong heartbeat lead her to believe that we don't need to worry too much at this point.
She will see the consultant tomorrow before hopefully being discharged. Future appointments will need to be at the mahoosive further away hospital (as opposed to the one that we can walk to in 10 minutes), but that's no real problem.
Mrs E isn't liking hospital food, but I brought her in some pasta salad, fruit, fruit juice and cereal bars. Between that, and all the tea and water her kindly nurses can provide, she seems to be in much better spirits.
I'm glad that I could be worried 'here' - Mrs E doesn't like 'fuss' and we haven't actually spoken to her family about this. This was perhaps against my better judgement, but as my wife, I must always assume she knows best
And with some actual honest-to-goodness MFW news, our remortgage completed this afternoon, knocking 6 years and 1.85% off our mortgage.0 -
Well done on the mortgage and the good husbanding.0

Well it's been a good day for you Ed, delighted for you both, have been thinking of you on and off all day ... Particularly as I was in visiting a friend in hospital myself ... Was wondering if possibly your good wife was in the same hospital
Fingers crossed the good news continues
MSE is great in so many ways, it allows us to speak about things that we don't necessarily want to bring up at home0 -

Well she married you didn't she so she's obviously got her head screwed on.
Glad things are looking brighter.
Also glad you're looking after Mrs Ed. But don't forget to feed yourself. And the fish.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
