Apparently hell is a hangover that is still in effect - I have a very bad habit of drinking more when I'm bored at these events
Managed to lie on the couch, have a shower and just about got dressed. Not really much to have done on a Saturday! Mrs E has been a wonderful nurse, we have a mutual pact not to be mean about hangovers :T- £6.50 to Freedom Fund
- £4 to Remortgage Pot
- £2 to Kitchen Pot
Off to drink water and eat toast.0 -
Your mutual pact sounds like the path to a happy marriage.
DH and i have a pact to be uncomplaining about self induced illness (cheese poisoning we call it) and to get on with it, but it's different with kids.
OMG is Juliet Stephenson really in Atlantis??0 -
Atlantis? Crossed wires?
What a miserable looking day it is out there
Slightly foggy after Mrs E got in at c. 0100, but she was in a considerably better state than I was the night before (I think the half hour wait in the taxi queue helped!)
Today is basically loads of housework and cooking, with a little bit of MFW thrown in for good measure.- Hoovered
- Polished shoes
- Took out recycling
- Massive fish tank clean
- Poaching a chicken
- PC chicken stock
- SC sausage and butterbean casserole
- HM butterbean hummus
- HM rolls
- Chasing NPower, this utility switch has been my worst experience to date (I've actually lost track of how long I've been waiting)
- I have completed our list of information needed for the remortgage application and have asked the broker to call me back tomorrow. As expected, Mrs E is happy to leave it in my hands
- £3.21 to Freedom Fund
- £2 to Remortgage Pot
- £1 to Kitchen Pot
8 days left in the office 'til :xmassign:0 -
Sounds like you've had a really industrious day Mr E.

Like the sound of butterbean hummus.
Atlantis just appeared on the telly as i was posting. Not watching it deliberately, honest!0 -
Food sounds lovely x x
Thanks Tilly, I also made a 'fish' pie with chicken, ham, carrots, onions, celery, peas, a mornay sauce and mashed potatoes on top
Today's dinner was the SC sausage casserole and it was just the thing for a hungry winter evening!
Work was a bit meh today, but good news on the MFW. Our remortgage to 3.15% has been agreed in principle, just waiting on additional checks with the underwriter.- £3 to Freedom Fund
- £2 to Remortgage Pot
- £1 to Kitchen Pot
- Screen out of VO survey
(looked like they only wanted people buying an induction hob in the next year!

Sounds like it is going full steam ahead with the remortgage in the E household
The mutual pact does indeed sound like a recipe for a happy marriage. I always remember my OH vomiting outside my parent's house the first time he ever met them after a big night out. :rotfl:M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -

Now, that post makes no sense at all....... So why did I understand it perfectly :rotfl:?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

It is BlueMoo, thanks. Just waiting on hearing back from our case manager, twiddling my thumbs somewhat!
Your poor OH - thankfully I've never got that bad in the company of my inlaws + I've made Mrs E's Dad a few breakfasts when *he* was feeling fragile and we were staying with them
I think we've almost finished our Christmas shopping now, although we're both feeling a bit skint. To be honest, a bit skint is a great improvement from 'broke' and there are various discretionary pots with surpluses that we may rob to tide us over until payday (the 20th).
Other than that, £3 to the Freedom Fund, Mrs E made some lovely HM bread and I have a couple of surveys sitting waiting for me when I get home.
Have a good afternoon all
