  • For all those who have been successful with DTDs today because the T's offers haven't been kicking in or because of ood sels, don't forget to Price Check as there is a higher than usual chance of A being cheaper for these items, so JTD opportunity even if you hadn't originally planned for a JTD shop.
  • I don't like the new layout much. Will take time getting use to.

  • I saw an FM transmitter today - wasn't sure what it was but it seems to be something you attach to an ipod (or other thing with speakers) to add radio to it.

It only caught my eye because I could see 3 that looked identical but all had different packaging.

I took 1 of each to the till and said to the lady that I guessed one of them was reduced to clear but there were no sels at all so could she scan them for me.

Black and green package was £16.xx, blue package was also £16.xx but white package was £3.74.

    Looks like this:

Admittedly I don't have pictures of her around or go to her graveside a lot but she's with me all the time, I reckon that answers her question. :A

Yep, my fave word as well.

    The derivation is interesting:

"Word History: Today's Good Word comes from a fairy tale called The Three Princes of Serendip by the 18th-century British author Horace Walpole. The three princes were always making fortuitous discoveries of things they were not looking for. Serendip was the former name of Sri Lanka. "

I've haven't read back and I'm absolutely exhausted so not able to either so this is just a quick one from little ole me.

It was my 4th attempt to collect my cheap quilts order from T direct this afternoon and one of the friendly SAs at CS at my local who is getting to know me now simply said "You just don't to be here today ... it'll take you hours to go around ... the tills have gone mad" ...

    Me
(feigning ignorance) "Why? What's happening? I've only got 20 mins"
    SA
... "None of the offers are going through!"
Me ... "Oh no what a nightmare!!"

Problem is by the time I got out this afternoon I only did have 20 mins and so couldn't exploit the chaos :( plus I want to stay under the radar here.

I did however return a pair of £19.50 boots that I bought last week (that didn't fit ;)) which at the time helped me get a £5 off £40 MOC :T and use a £2.48 JTD from a Gold Blend purchase to bring my small £7 odd shop down to £5 odd.

It's Friday tmrw and so I must do much better cos I only have 1 £5 off £40 MOC for next week.

Oh BTW I got a call from Tesco Customer Services team tonight re: my email to HO to "praise good CS but complain about a Tesco own brand product". All I got was "thanks we'll pass on your comments to the appropriate people". Not impressed
