You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in

God created men first, cause you always makes a rough draft before a masterpiece!
  • I was reading something the other day about the elderly and the cost of fuel bills. Then I remebered how my boiler broke the other week and how I then unpackaged and used for the first time in my life an electric blanket!

I wonder how many elderly people have one? they are very cheap to run too according to the packaging.

    Just musing aloud............. :)

I love my electric blanket, even my children have them on their beds, not that they are little children! 16, 19, 21 and 24!

    Lol

They are brilliant things! I love getting into a warm bed, when feeling ill and wake up in the night it is great to switc it on to warm you up!

  • Managed to visit 4 T's today but nothing much to report.

Most of the things I tried that had expired SELs still scanned at the reduced price.

I did manage to get printer ink in 2 different branches where they still had 3 for the price of 2 banners displayed. DTD brought the price down to 3 for the price of 1 so happy with that.

I also stocked up on Colgate toothpaste which had an expired special offer price of £1.00 but scanned at £1.80. I had some Colgate vouchers too so they were cheaper than free.

Found a lonely 1p bag of Snow Bites and strangely couldn't resist buying a bar of Caramac! :rotfl:
If you're not scared, you're not paying attention

Visited Mr T's palace today and do you know what, they only overcharged me.Again.I can't believe how often this happens to me I must be really unlucky;)

Can you believe that the SEL for Airwick Aquamist half price was out of date? The offer only expired yesterday.;)

Shame because I picked up the last 5 and was overcharged for every single one. I think I should stop going there because this is starting to become a habit;)

Trout paid me herself as well, out of her own pocket , so she had me believe anyway."So when you paid £16..." Me - "Well I thought I must have made a mistake and picked up the wrong one,tut tut silly me!" Cue face of thunder and much scribbling on receipt.Trout  me :D!

    Hello there,

I've outed myself as a lurker on another thread, and i come here tonight to pay homage to you all. I take my hat off to all of you, and i enjoy following the chat as well as the complicated calculations/strategies you guys employ to get the great deals.

I should point out that i am an international lurker. I can't avail of the deals you spot and you could'nt avail of any i would find. So i lurk, green with envy, and try to learn from your strategies. We don't have AdsA so no JTD's or APG's here:(

Could you help me with something, Tesco here also have cleaning offer, large Fairy liquid 1.2L on offer from €5 to €3 makes it €2.50 per litre.

One of the flavours has a yellow SEL saying €3 for 9 x 1.2L and 28c per L. What would you do? Buy 9 and see what happens? If it didn't go through at €3 for the 9 bottles would you go for DTD based on the Litre price SEL?

I found the same SEL in 2 different stores. Hope you don't mind me asking, especially on such a busy day!:)

    Hello Livvy W,

welcome, can i ask how your cs staff are with you ?

i'd buy 1 set of 3 to see if it works before going the whole euro :)

have had similar with £ per kilo v sel price

if it's somethng you buy normally then its got to be worth a go.

    do you get vouchers ?
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.
