V brief update from me (apologies not read back)

Visited 3 WHSmiths ... got trouted in 2nd and 3rd (both said the same can't use gift card to buy gift card) ... so I have 4 greetings cards and 2 gift cards (£9.xx + £15) ... not bad but could have been better. May try 1st store again tmrw but maybe they've all been warned now? Anyone had recent successful shops?

    Boots ... got 10 x Nice N Easy Conditioners ... FREE

Sainsbury's ... got 2 packs of Bob the Builder figures ... 70% off ... should have been £4.99 each got 1 for £1.50 and the other £1.49(???) ... reclaimed £2.50 Nectar points so paid 49p

No time for Mr T today :(

EDIT: I thought I'd got a bargain with Bob ... but apparently not

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bob-Builder-Figure-Pack-Spud/dp/B0055L8QO6/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1330448952&sr=8-9

You still did well. There's £4.11 postage with that Amazon seller :T:T

Thanks for that (and all others who've said the same) but in reality it's a minor inconvenience compared to what others on here are facing:(

Had a good day with a friend in WH Smith, not counted how many cards I have but my total was just under £300 in gift cards, I know others have done better ;)

Staff were great, even the Manager getting on a till to prevent queues and there were only 2 of us going back and forward:D. They were more than happy to let us do as many as we wanted:T

Went for lunch and came back ready to start again but we were told HO sent an e-mail saying gift cards could no longer be used to buy gift cards :(

Good while it lasted :j the shame is this was running for the last 3 weeks

@ mharzuk, you did well. I managed £70 in gift cards all but a few pence and some really nice greetings cards to boot. Only wish I had known about this earlier. Oh well never mind there is always another glitch round the corner. Just want to thank the op for this glitch.

Thanks to those that replied earlier just got back from T's, the sabitar knife set scanned at £12.50. I also managed to get a dora storio that someone mentioned the other day was £21 but it was £27, still a lot cheaper than when my little girl wanted it at christmas so I got it and put it away for her birthday. In total my bill was £63 but got it down to £12 after coupons.

Do you have a pic of the knives please :)

Yes, many many thanks to the op
Also I checked with the Manager and it seems you can use the gift cards to buy gift cards for other stores e.g. Argos, M&S, Next etc. Any of the gift cards they have on display it seems :j
