    Afternoon all!

Still not caught up as I've been out all afternoon!

Used the 6 Boots £1 off Clairol NNE vouchers on 6 98p NNE conditioners without any trouble at all.

The off to Asda where some dreadful chav had been caught shoplifting and he was screaming the most horrendous language for about 15 mins while they waited for the police to arrive . I'm not adverse to bad language myself but there were loads of kiddies about.

Anyway I used my 2 L'oreal coupons on 2 pots of hydrafresh, haven't used this for years, it used to be my fave moisturiser! £6 down to £4 in Asda then down to £2 with the voucher.

Also picked up two of the dettol no touches which are down to a fiver, used the £5 vouchers no problem so got them both free.

Add to that my 'free' batteries from the DTD thing this morning and it's been a damn good day!

I'm placing a bet on a backwards baseball cap, rolled up trousers or grey saggy jogging bottoms and a lot of unnecessary bling.Probably a missing tooth or two.

V brief update from me (apologies not read back)

Visited 3 WHSmiths ... got trouted in 2nd and 3rd (both said the same can't use gift card to buy gift card) ... so I have 4 greetings cards and 2 gift cards (£9.xx + £15) ... not bad but could have been better. May try 1st store again tmrw but maybe they've all been warned now? Anyone had recent successful shops?

    Boots ... got 10 x Nice N Easy Conditioners ... FREE

Sainsbury's ... got 2 packs of Bob the Builder figures ... 70% off ... should have been £4.99 each got 1 for £1.50 and the other £1.49(???) ... reclaimed £2.50 Nectar points so paid 49p

No time for Mr T today :(

EDIT: I thought I'd got a bargain with Bob ... but apparently not

Just run in really quickly but Smiths is working for me, got £75 in gift vouchers so far, but towards the end the SA said to the other SA I need a break for the loo and came back with the manager!!!Who walked over to me while I was looking at the cards and said "Can I help you?":eek::eek::eek::eek:Made a swift departure I'm not that brave to argue for it with a manager, just off to another smiths now though;)

I had the most fantastic Manager...
I put 10 cards through individually, paid £11.55 and got £67.02 in gift cards..
I told him I had to take my Mother to hospital and Id be back in about an hour.. He said that I was very welcome because he was on commission for every giftcard that was sold through the store..

Walked back in, I told the same person to fire up the other till as I was on a mission and he informed me that he was at that moment putting posters up "Gift cards can not be bought by gift cards"..
he apologised.. I felt sorry for him because he told me that earlier that he was going to do it later as he has staff discount too!!!!

Ah well, I still think I did well and thank you everyone for all your help.. Your a good lot on here :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

just got 6 packs of duracel batteries marked at b1g1f, so got all my money back. a$da have these 2 for £5 so if they price match i will get another £15 back.
cant find the post but someone today said their stores sel said offer ends 29/2/12, so did not purchase. please check again as my sel was 29/1/12 but it was dificult to make out as it was cut off half way through as it was right on the bottom.
i had a great mail cs, he apologised and explained dtd to me.
there is so many posts mentioning these, so to you all thank you.

Where were the SELs you found? I found ones in the toys aisle by the escalator and also got DTD this morning on 4 packs of AA/AAAs........

My SA was lovely too but unfortunately I went at 7:30am and she kept pressing buttons, couldn't work out what was wrong, especially since the problem followed her to another till. Turns out she made some simple error, we had a giggle over it, I didn't mind waiting, I got my DTD and I'm :j

Anyone notice how they position the stands either side of the door so you only see them when you leave?

Our local has positioned them inside the barriers so you see them as soon as you walk in........
