  • Afternoon all

Today has been one of the worst days ever.... FIL has been given his results from when he had his op to remove the cancer and sort out his bowel. He has to start having chemo in 12 weeks as he has to wait so he has recovered from his op. He has about 50/60% chance of 5-6 years left.

Im off now to cancel the wedding as OH has gone up the hospital. I am devastated.

So sorry to hear your bad news :( hugs x
  • Artha, I had a hairline fracture of one of the bones in my foot when I was 17, I think from jumping off a stage, didn't hurt at the time but took about 3 weeks to get so bad I got an X ray. It was long top bone of my 2nd toe, right at the top of my foot (metatarsal?). Plastercast and crutches for 6 weeks and right as rain ever since. It was a blessing really, got me out of doing a play that I couldn't learn my lines for.

OH did the same thing to his thigh bone but didn't realise, docs had said muscle strain, so off we went round Thailand for two weeks, he was in agony.

Thank you to the OP about the 1p Xmas bits, the fairy dust make up will do for tooth fairy and messy play, ditto sparkly nail varnish. Also got 1p manicure set in same range, haven't seen this mentioned.
    :starmod: DO IT NOW :starmod:

Ahhh but each set of 7 cards requires an initial outlay of £10 + cost of card. If you want to keep your cash outlay to a minimum you have to use one of your two intact £15 cards to start the process again on transaction 8.

You can try but once the coupon is scanned, if the 2nd one doesn't work you can't change your mind and get the coupon back. I tried to use more than 1 against Ariel but computer said no. I was stuck with the Ariel and 3 coupons instead of 4 but I have to say I was really impressed that I'm not bothered now!

Thinking about trying the WHS thing tonight but I only have a 1 hour window. So we've done speed scanning with glitches and 1p items. Now comes a new test of 'how much money can I make in a hour'. Can we add this to the list of Olympic glitch sports?

Hopefully today is a better day. Ex is being a nightmare again so I didn't sleep much last night. Any suggestions for puffy eyes so I don't scare the staff in WHS later?

Caz was wondering if you could work something out for me.

i have done this 5 times with cards that cost £1.75 ,how much should i have on my cards.

i still cant get my head around how it works:rotfl:

    Afternoon All,
Not sure if this has already been posted, but I am at work at the moment and have not has the time to check back
Benecol yoghurts £2.39 per pack of 4 - buy 2 get one free, use the £1 off Benecol Coupons x 3 = £1.78 and also use the £1 Tesco price drop coupon = 0.78p for 12 yoghurts

I think the Tesco yoghurt offer may end today, and the Benecol coupon is valid until tomorrow, I think this offer may only be of use to those of you that saved the coupon on your computer!!!

Just found it in the 'Gone but not forgotten' section and the link still works so thanks :)

It looks like it prints at A4 size so I've printed on landscape orientation and shrink oversized pages to get it to half size ;)

Hope so:) But every cloud has a silver lining. Perhaps I'll be be able to put my feet up for a while and get some instrument plucking done during the day and not have to worry about Mrs Artha coming home from work and complaining that I've not got many jobs done:rotfl:

    afternoon everyone :)

does anyone know... i bought a new tv on 12th january 2012 and just found the thing to register it as i kept forgetting but it said to do it in fourteen days.
    either by post or online
so obviously i have missed that now but there is stuff on the tv it needs to be registered for me to do so means i cant use all of the features etc.
is there any way around this? i was thinking if i rung them and said i sent the form the day after purchase and expected to be given confirmation they had receieved it i could maybe convince them it got lost in the post?
    TIA x

stalk them & hope they panic & give in

Just had one heck of a shock / surprise :)

There I was watching my fish batter turn into a rich golden colour when there was a ' coppers knock ' on the door ...I left the servants quarters and answered the door to a guy holding a rather large box for me .
I hadn't ordered anything recently so wondered if it was that dastardly clever Fran Cotton from Cotton Traders sending out my sheepskin jacket I had removed from my basket to earn my 6 nations watch .
I scanned the box for any refernce to CT's ...nothing , phew .

Upon opening and delving deep into the mystery box I was surprised  and delighted at what my eyes saw .
Only 2 people spring to mind to who could have sent this out to me .

My many many thanks go out to Mr Happy Chappy and his Sis Westvleteren.
A kind and generous gift that will live on in my memory for a heck of a lot longer than the beer will remain in the bottle .

Cheers and Good Health .
