Re WHS gift card process .....

No doubt it works, as people have posted details, but I have a question .....

If for every 7 transactions you end up with 7 greeting cards (assuming they cost £2.50) and 2 £15 gift cards and all for an outlay of £12.50!

Then how come people have 28 greetings cards and yet only £90 odd pounds with of gift cards.

Surely if they have 28 greeting cards they should have 8 x £15 gift cards!!

If my maths is correct 28 greetings cards is 4 lots of 7 transactions. Thus 4 lots of 2 x £15 gift cards = 8 x £15 gift cards - so why have they not got £120 worth of gift cards

Ahhh but each set of 7 cards requires an initial outlay of £10 + cost of card. If you want to keep your cash outlay to a minimum you have to use one of your two intact £15 cards to start the process again on transaction 8.

I'm sure this has been asked before but can I use more than one SSMC coupon of £1 off Oral B brush heads they are very expensive, I need some & I can see anywhere on the coupon that says you can only use one.

You can try but once the coupon is scanned, if the 2nd one doesn't work you can't change your mind and get the coupon back. I tried to use more than 1 against Ariel but computer said no. I was stuck with the Ariel and 3 coupons instead of 4 but I have to say I was really impressed that I'm not bothered now!

Thinking about trying the WHS thing tonight but I only have a 1 hour window. So we've done speed scanning with glitches and 1p items. Now comes a new test of 'how much money can I make in a hour'. Can we add this to the list of Olympic glitch sports?

Hopefully today is a better day. Ex is being a nightmare again so I didn't sleep much last night. Any suggestions for puffy eyes so I don't scare the staff in WHS later?

I'm still confused by this, how much money do I need to take with me ?

I understand the first bit buy one greeting card & buy a £15 giftcard for £12. Then what I buy another greetings card & a £15 giftcard with the £15 on the first card ?

You need £10 for the giftcard and then £1 to £2 pounds for the greetings card - try to buy the cheapest that you can find as this will give you a greater return. The really small cards which are along the bottom shelves of the display stands are usually the cheapest. I found ones for £1.40 with code EE on the back.

    Afternoon all

Today has been one of the worst days ever.... FIL has been given his results from when he had his op to remove the cancer and sort out his bowel. He has to start having chemo in 12 weeks as he has to wait so he has recovered from his op. He has about 50/60% chance of 5-6 years left.

Im off now to cancel the wedding as OH has gone up the hospital. I am devastated.
    Poor you :( *Big hugs*

Not sure how it has happened but I did twist my ankle a little when hill walking a couple of months ago. No more than occasional twinge until 3 weeks ago when the top of my foot started getting very sore whilst walking around Tesco. Went home and rested but it swelled up like a balloon. Used ice, compression bandage and complete rest for a few days and it improved no end. Since then however, even with not much activity, it just gets more and more painful during the day. Overnight it goes back to fairly normal but the process then starts again so I've been fairly immobile for a few weeks so thought it was time to go to the docs. Doc thinks it looks like a classic fell walkers injury and may be a hairline fracture, hence the xray. Whatever the outcome of that, the doc advises 4-6 weeks of rest with gentle foot exercises to allow healing so no pounding the aisles of Tesco for me:rotfl:

AS you seemed to go down with it at a similar time do you think it was a bout of Tescoitis doing the rounds?:rotfl:

Does sound pretty much the same as mine but I'm not in very much pain but I am being careful about the shoes I wear and I have a sitting down job. The doctor said there was no point in an xray as he didn't think it was broken but if it was still the same this week he would send me for one to be sure. I can't get an appointment till next week now though.

I like the sound of a bit of Tescoitis rather than a hairline fracture though :rotfl:

Cheers Jes but I decided to visit the ' freezer of whoopsied delights ' and dug out these .
The young lad was unloading and reducing about 4 boxes of these beauties ...and because they were B1g1F and reduced we picked them up at 2 packs for 60p .
