however, if I were to change the facts slightly. Lets assume that you work for a trading firm and you know that the price of share X was going to go up. Your friends/family then subsequently went and bought those shares and made a profit on them. In that scenario, you would be subjected to serious investigation of using "priviledge knowledge" to dishonestly benefit from it. However note that in this instance:
1. the information have to be privy to you
2. the information have to be non-public (SEL on shelf is very public)
there are other things that they would/may take into consideration in deciding what to do. examples are:
1. whether you are the person who is supposed to take off OOD SEL and you have intentionally left one on for you partner to get DTD
2. whether your partner is a serial abuser of the system (sorry if this ousnd harsh) and/or they can draw a link from his purchase history to information privy to you or tesco employees
sorry cant be of further help- i'd suggest you go to that meeting rather than skipping it.
posted the above without reading your subsequent posts. now that ive read them:
1 - you went into the shop with your OH and looked at the phone
2 - your OH went in to get the phones and provided a fake name and postcode for the DTD
3 - you returned the phones to a store 25 miles away
depending on what sort of evidence they are basing the investigation on,..the odds dont look very good, IMHO0 -

Just logged on to SSM to find out that I've been banned for inappropriate behaviour:eek:
Not wishing to prejudge I had already printed off my MOC's;)
However, I feel it's only fair to rob Tescos. Therefore Mad will make another facebook account under the name;

good morning all -
grey and overcast today.
my Dh woke up to find me poring over tesco and asda webpages when i should really be submitting CVs...long day ahead. been told that i really should not be in tesco/boots unless i have submitted at least 2 applications
last night, DH went with me to tescos - bang on reduction time. Got 6 boxes of roasting mini vegetable for 60p (making a giant pot of minestrone for tonight). went to the meat section and there were loads being reduced as well. One lady was just grabbing everything and shoving people with her basket (filled to the brim) for DH walked over and said to the lady:
DH: ÿou must have a large family to feed. We have some reduced vegetables. Would you like of that?
lady: oh, ......two please
DH: passes two boxes over
after that, the pushing and shoving stopped. It became a civilised :
- i'd like the chicken that the man is reducing, but someone can have the fish.
-would you like that? can you pass me that? etc, etc..0 -
Anyway, I told them either way I've been accused now, and I'll be proven innocent by CCTV whether it's VIA the Police or my Solicitor ^^
Can't believe the lengths they'll go to cover their own lies these people..
Lloydy84 - well done for standing up to them. Big companies cannot get away with pushing the little people around. I had a personal experience with a huge corporation (a very different matter though). To cut a long story short, I took them to a tribunal and won. The odds were totally stacked against me, there were lies galore mainly from former colleagues/friends and it took almost 2 years of my life and a huge amount of money. I don't regret doing it and am proud that I never walked away. I really do hope it gets sorted for you - wishing you the best of luck. Please keep us updated.Tiger

Morning all, just popping on quickly as I need to walk the dogs. I am way behind, can't seem to keep up with you lot! I finally succumbed to coupon collecting on SSM and have got to 40 with 1 left to go for People Person - is this the one that they are deciding on? Shame I left it so long and didn't get the vouchers - I should have just dived in but I'm always slow off the mark!mymerrywidow wrote: »i showed my son my till reciept yesterday it had 21 £1 coupons and six 75p coupons on it. he reply was "i am glad i wasnt with you":o
Had to laugh at your post above MMW - my DD1 is exactly the same, and even worse when I'm wombling - I am, apparently, the most embarrassing mother!
Just wanted to let you know that my Price Check came back in earlier (the one where I'd used my Clubcard but entered an alternative email address from an incognito window). I'm pleased to say that it did return to the alternative email address without copying to my registered address, so I'm very relieved!
I can womble away again without being paranoid!0
