Oh dear...not a good start to the day for you :(
Can you check your contract? If so, see if theres anything in there that mentions that partners/OH/DD etc cant have DTD....i know staff cant, but there shouldnt be an exclusion about family members.
Next...do you have a union that you are part of that you can ask for advise? If not, try to contact ACAS for advice.

I cant see how you can be punished for something that a family member has done, unless its written in your contract that families cannot partake in DTD etc and if they do it will result in gross misconduct ie being dismissed.

The only other thing I would add, is have you done DTD in another store, where possibly you may have been recognised or your card details checked? I dont know how Ts would catch you out, but they're sneaky so and so's and nothing would surprise me!

    Good luck though :)

my partner paid cash for the phones , and it say on my letter its land line phone. so how can it be traced back to me. would they have cctv of me and him together from another day in the shop. as i didnt even go in to the shop when he did it.
should i just deny all knowledge of it.. he wrote down a fake name and a london postcode, but he wrote down our street name

i took back the phones to another tesco which was about 25 miles away

what kind of evidence can they have ?

can you find your contract? i can't see how you can be blamed for what he has done, I would ask for proof as you said and wondered if somebody in the know might think its worth going for him putting in dpa against tesco for disclosing info to third party, might be worth asking on legal site but you need to act now , speak to acas and union

    Good morning everyone.

Thoughts go to you 3Dogs and Mr3Dogs. You are both coping marvellously well, keep that chin up.

    Happy 9th birthday MSE :)

My car was poorlier than was thought, will ring garage today with my decision, have to get it repaired, haven't been able to source another car I could afford :(

Have a very good day everyone

I sometimes wonder why I bother. If you've turned £200 into £6K then why are you here being condescending? The GIOL forums are that way >>>>>> Mind the door doesn't get you on the way out.

P.S. I should point out that this is a Tesco thread - the clue for where we spend our money is in the title

Sorry if i came across condescending but your reasoning behind getting a JTD voucher really does not add up.

The pure reason the GIOL forum may be closed down is because people cannot do simple maths and you are proof of that.

By the way... I have made more than you can imagine through DTD and glitches etc, if you look at my previous posts you will notice that I have contributed many a time on here regarding these.

Just because it is possible to make decent money other ways I am always interested in the Tesco threads as 'every little helps' and I just wanted to know if there was any great reasoning behind getting a JTD voucher and unfortunately other than your summary nobody has come up with a 'money saving' reason, and I thought that was the idea of the site.

I do remember you as a contributor on various threads of T's in the past.

Peoples perception of saving money is different to others.

In the case of JTD you can view it as:

    a) Not being able to shop at A's, so by shopping in T's using JTD, you can receive the same savings as shoppers in A's could get, even though you don't shop there. This then gives T's shoppers a reduction on the price of the item they bought, saving them money.

    b) You could shop at the shop that gives you the best value in the place. However, not all can get to the chain with the best offer on that product.
