Everything in moderation, definitely a good tip :Abensonsmum wrote: »Would like to say Good Morning to you all, the sun is out and looks absolutely lovely down here in sunny north Devon - but just stepped out onto the balcony and its bloomin freezing out there, so looks like i will be staying behind the glass today.
Westvleteran - you are absolutely amazing, i could do with a friend like you - you have so much get up and go :j:j i have tried dieting with the help of a friend and always get dragged back down - shouldn't blame her really and just do it on my own, but when ever she has a bad day i always end up being bad with her - i have tried the "get away from me Satan" route but she just laughs and sticks cake or cold toast with loads of butter and marmite on it in front of me, im sure she has it somewhere in her head that if she is not going to be slim she is not going to let me get slim either!!!
Had a brilliant day and have loads of vouchers thanks to "West is Best" and SSM yesterday, so will be sorting out my shopping list later today. IM sure i read somewhere about boxes of "Temptations" biscuits - can anyone enlighten me please as i saw a couple of boxes yesterday in a shop with out a scanner in.
Hope you all have a great day xxx
Hi bensonsmum, how are you doing? Lovely to see you posting (you may very well have been posting in the last few days but seen as I'm failing to keep up, I haven't seen you for a little while!) How's your FIL doing now? :Axxzippydooda wrote: »no its not my birthday:o, i had that mile stone back in july. 2 months b4 i found this great thread.

OK I think I've got my mum hooked on MOCs!!!!
She's asking where I got all mine from, she's not been interested before but I think taking her with me yesterday when I was using those ones has made her see sense. I have to bookmark a few pages for her so she can look for the ones she's after.
She likes the DTDs but still can't get her to buy and use woopsies but hey, one step at a timeSPC #329 £471/£500 banked

If you don't want to annoy your friends when you click 'share' and the box comes up in the bottom left there is a drop down arrow and if you select 'custom' (i think it's that) then you can choose to share it but only you can see it.
For the others you need someone to 'thumbs up' your tips on friends and family, home and lifestyle
Thanks just done it!:)

Im trying to have a go at this SSm thingy, (thank you to Op who mentioned this, It seems to be really popular here at the mo!!
Ive just got a few things that I dont understand.. how do I 'like' a message to help others? There is the thumbs up symbol, but that says it marks it as a favourite, is that the same thing?
What about the rewards? do you have to claim them as you get them or can you save them up? Can you still choose what they are for/which shop etc if you save them up?0 -
Wow, what a beautiful day! I woke up at 9am to the sight of sunshine, blue skies and the sound of birdsong - bliss!bensonsmum wrote: »I have tried dieting with the help of a friend and always get dragged back down - shouldn't blame her really and just do it on my own, but when ever she has a bad day i always end up being bad with her - i have tried the "get away from me Satan" route but she just laughs and sticks cake or cold toast with loads of butter and marmite on it in front of me, im sure she has it somewhere in her head that if she is not going to be slim she is not going to let me get slim either!!!
I don't do diet or gym 'buddies' for this reason, I want to go at my own pace and be in competition only with myself, if that makes sense....?Westvleteren wrote: »I have some really really bad days as wellBut I just carry on knowing that it is not going to be as good as it should be and that just motivates me more. Anyway, everything in moderation, some days I struggle with the moderation part
Moderation? What does this word mean? :rotfl:I've been on my diet 3 wks now, I get 12wks free at Slimming World and free exercise class every week too on a scheme called Lose Weight Feel Great. Not sure if it's a national thing but if your BMI is over 25 you qualify. This is great for me cause with a household income of £124pw maternity pay we are struggling!
So far I've lost: Wk one 4 1/2lb, Wk two 2lb, Wk three 4 1/2lb :j :j
How's everyone else doing? And what a beautiful winter day it is! Going to take the baby for a walk I think.....and I don't mean round T's!!
Well done on the weight loss!
I weigh in tomorrow night and have to lose 1/2 a pound to get my stone award, something tells me it might not happen, weighed this morning and I was 2lbs up on last week. Mind you I have RPM class tonight which HOPEFULLY will burn enough calories/fat to merit a 1/2 lb loss :A
I have my new double gel seat from amazon as well so no more saddle burn! (TMI :rotfl:)No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

WELL DONE ruxpin!! Fantastic weight loss :jSpiralingDown wrote: »Just finished cutting all my MOCs including the SIX real food mag ones for the knives. DS decided that we'll need them for when we get a new house.
My mum has started on her SSM journey, only on 6 stickers but I got her the first 3, she's looking forward to getting some free cleaning stuff as she's run out of washing up liquid and floor cleaner so is going to T's to get printer paper and then spending the rest of the night on SSM and printing her own MOCs.
I'm planning on printing more of the persil and comfort ones. I'm planning what I'll be buying tomorrow to go over the £40 and using as many MOCs as possible to keep it cheap
So if any of the locals see a mad woman tomorrow at a till with a very stressed out SA holding loads of MOCs and a DS making sure s/he scans them all it'll be me
