Whoopsie tips thread? Can you please point me in the right direction to it please? I need tips! I just dont seem to be able to fathom if and when our local do the whoopsies.
Im sure each store is different with times and amounts, but any tips would be great!0 -
Popped into T at lunch for a few more comfort (it's rude not to). Couldn't resist picking up 4 more tubes of Oral B toothpaste. I got DTD back on them last night so got them for free:j. Picked up the whitening one this time (instead of enamel protection) and asked one of the dozens of managers that were lurking to check the price for me. Came up as £3.50 so i thought "Bingo". OOD SEL was £1.75, expired 13th Feb. Bought 4 and at the til, they reduced down to £1.75 each.. boo hoo. Went and got a full refund so beware.
I can't bear to see so many managers/trouts/jobsworths hanging around the stores with their beady looking eyes. I don't like itTiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find0 -

Hi Lindos,
I found it by typing in "whoopsie tips" to the search bar at the top right of the screen, then click Forum and Go. It's the third one down, called "Only buying yellow sticker/reduced 2012 challenge" by NikilalaTiger

I'm just picturing the scenario if they did come up as £3.50, you get a trolleyfull, go to CS for DTD and said manager who told you the price is called over to authorise the DTD...the shame of it!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be
And get lots of glitches!0 -

This Saturday evening I'm going to be child free so I'm thinking about going to T's to see whether I can get some decent whoopsies.
I just wonder though what time to go? Is there a rough time that things start getting mega reduced? Knowing my local store they won't hardly reduce their stuff. Every time I've checked in the reduced cabinet, they have stuffed reduced by about 20p. Useless!
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give. xx
Is really a case of establishing what your store does.
I've found mine has 2 fridges for whoopsies, and reduce by 10% the night before, then reduce fractionally through the next day.
For me Sunday is the best whoopsie day, the seem to remove all items from the fridges around 2.30pm then return them 80%-90% off around 3.10pm. I filled my freezer last Sunday.
Work out what your store does then you'll get some good whoopsies.0 -
Car rear suspension went yesterday, sat stranded in a forest car park for an hour with 2 bored kids waiting for recovery truck. Amazed to find bill was only £55
Sold some pine shelves on ebay, buyer collected today £70 in the pocket. Then got email from someone else saying, do you still have these we will give you £200 for them
You win some, you loose some.

as some of you might know , HC and myself had a birthing of the cake bake off the other day , we had decided on an architectural theme and the top of HC's looked similar to the Mosta Dome while mine managed to re-create the leaning tower of Pisa , I decided to keep mine as a fruit cake instead of a Christmas cake as I didn't want to watch all the jam and slurried icing sugar slip towards one edge .
I just tried a slice (or 2) and it's bloomin' deelish , better than Mr Kips by a country mile .I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -
