Afternoon all, no Ts runs for me until tonight, Thursday a good day for meat woopsies. I don't really want or need anything as I'll be away in Spain from Saturday for 10 days and have already stocked up for DS4.

3dogs my thouights are with you and your family, it's such a heartbreaking situation just now, I know from experience.

Who was asking about Calais? Tesco has closed in Cite Europe but I have bought drinks from Carre Four there, some good bargains to be had.

OMG is it 'printer play up day to day? My printer (SX425W) is telling me yellow ink low. I go to change it and the cartridge is lodged and stuck in there.:eek::eek::eek: I'm going to have to wait for one of my boys to sort it me thinks. I have bought 'compatible' inks before but found some of them useless.

Purdita was it you who buys cheap inks off ebay? I've had some from there, some good some bad. Who have you bought from please?

I've caught up on pages from yesterday and last night now must get the hoover out and show that I have done a little housework lol. Catch you all in 1/2 hr or so.

Argos do a value range of ink cartridges, they are good and quite cheap.

BTW I spotted the SELs on printers yesterday and a few half pricers end next Tuesday...;););)

Can anyone remember the name of the cough medicine that was recommended on here a while ago?

I seem to remember the general consensus was that there is only one cough medicine worth taking and it had quite a medical sounding name (ie not like Butterfly Syrup) but I can't think what it was called.

    Thank you.

in this house we use Boots' Pholcodeine Linctus , a few good gulps does the trick , don't bother with a t-spoon .
I was young once , now I get older all the time .

Lamb shanks for tea tonight in mint gravy, the ones in a box.Whoopsied them ages ago from £4 to 40p each:T:TLove these, they are delish.I am so determind to start eating what's in the freezers otherwise I can't get any more whoopsies:(:(

I could chat about whoopsies for ages! :o:p It's so fun and I save a fortune :D The whoopsie tips thread is good as you said Nikki, I recommend a read, I've learnt from it ;)

I struggle with fitting all mine in too but I can totally empathise with wanting to use everything up just so you can buy more! :o The prob in my house is that my sister in particular but to a certain extent Mum too, are sooooo fussy! Half the time they'd rather eat processed frozen rubbish whereas I love cooking from fresh and experimenting. So most of the meals I do have to be fairly standard hearty english grub like roasts, shepherds/cottage pie, stews etc etc. The freezer was fit for bursting so I decided to get the turkey I bought whoopsied on Boxing Day from £25 down to about £1!!!!!! Well the thing is huge! :p:TSo last night was roast, tonight is cold turkey, chips, pickle and side salad, tomorrow is sweet and sour turkey and if there's any left it'll be OEP Saturday or I might make a pie and freeze it :D Plus the doggies are very muchly enjoying a diet of roast turkey!
    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Needed that.
Just off the phone with the housing people and they don't know what's happening about the house but I have been offered another one!!!!
Don't want the other one cause there's no garden, want the first one. Cue some feet stamping and cries of 'It's not fair!'
Have to phone original lady I spoke to on Friday to see what's going on but she's off till Monday due to school half term. I hope she can sort it out cause I phoned to accept the first one on Friday and the offer on the second one was only sent on Tuesday!!!

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::(:(:(:(:(

Spiralingdown that's terrible!! Is that even allowed?! Aww I really feel for you, I know how desperate you are to get out of your current situation for a better life with DS. I really hope things start spiraling up ASAP :Axxxx

    Too many wombles probably!

I had one take 3 days last week...... I had given up hope!

Mind you we can't have it both ways I suppose, we like it when the store has a glitch but complain when the price check is incompetent!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I would be amazed if it was perfectly reliable!

:) Have had closure from my fishing trip last year - Trout reprimanded for accosting me in store the other week & the Store Manager informed :D at last.
It seems, by my inside informant, that the Trout & CS Manager were trying to avoid the store manager finding out about my complaint to HO :p

Was also told that another customer was refused DTD last week by same Trout & the customer called HO on them :T
