in this house we use Boots' Pholcodeine Linctus , a few good gulps does the trick , don't bother with a t-spoon .

Yep that's it, that's the only one I've ever been recommended by a doctor, Pholcodine Linctus. There has been tonnes of research plenty of which point to the direction that cough mixture doesn't actually hold any healing powers, it's just soothing for the throat. Infact many argue that syrup would do the same job! For that reason I avoid it at all costs :p But if you feel you need it go with Pholcodine (it's also the cheapest too ;))

I have a picture of HC in Mongolia to use next time he embarrasses me. ;) Or I could post it early one morning, then edit my post around noon :rotfl::rotfl: It's a corker.

Portugal I have a few, but not really holiday snaps, more of a closer look.

    Colonia del Sacramento. :)

    publish and be praised ;)

    Too many wombles probably!

I had one take 3 days last week...... I had given up hope!

Mind you we can't have it both ways I suppose, we like it when the store has a glitch but complain when the price check is incompetent!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I would be amazed if it was perfectly reliable!

I have 3 from Sunday!!!

OMG is it 'printer play up day to day? My printer (SX425W) is telling me yellow ink low. I go to change it and the cartridge is lodged and stuck in there.:eek::eek::eek: I'm going to have to wait for one of my boys to sort it me thinks. I have bought 'compatible' inks before but found some of them useless.
A lot of the new Epson printers do not like the compatible inks. Although the ink cartridge may show us full on the control panel the printer might not recognise it. Also it may stuff up your printer altogether as it's liable to dump ink to the pads. If you need your Epson printer servicing make sure you put in Epson cartridges otherwise they will not touch it and it voids all warranty. (My pal who is a service engineer for Epson told me)

  • One thing I have noticed about the new look forum is that at the bottom of each post it now says:

X users say thank you for this useful post

but it used to say something like:

X users say thank you to Fudge_Cake for this useful post

It's not a big thing but some of the posts are quite long and by the time you get to the bottom you can't see who wrote it. I don't always look at the beginning of the post to see who wrote it but by the time I get to the end, depending on what has been said I may then want to know the author so now I need to scroll up.

As I said it is only a small thing but it is annoying me already and I can't see any good reason for the change.
