Grr to lots of white hair, lucky that the new horse has mainly black mane, but too many white patches on her body! And the fact that she is unhandled and not too used to grooming, but her neck is lovely and managed to get a few brushes on her tummy yesterday so getting there slowly :)

Good luck at the job centre today and hope it isnt too bad!

Definitely grr to white haired horses, so very high maintenance...

Your young lady will soon grow to like being groomed, it's such good bonding time too. My only advice is - keep her away from mud :rotfl:

    Ah yes, the Job Centre...

I arrived as someone was leaving with his bodyguards - two police officers. [Note to self must get a bodyguard, feel very lacking, not having one. Luckily the Job Centre seems to be the ideal place to recruit one]

My careers advisor, he of the sheep fame, agreed with me that getting a part-time job and concentrating on building an income on writing was my best option. However, there didn't seem to be too many part-time jobs available.

The insurance claim company handling my mortgage claim have sent through a free cv review offer. I'm going to take up the offer, it may help.

I've had a bit of a spend up whilst I was in town. I had a voucher for £3 from Lakeland. I bought three enamel pie plates, just like my grandma used. It was buy two get one free. One plate was £3.49, meaning I got three plates for £3.98. They're a perfect size for using up small amounts of leftovers and chucking a pastry top on. And they go in the freezer!

Also bought a book on punctuation, I'm not very good at it and need to improve - £5.99

Lastly, I had an 85p voucher off my favourite coffee, so bought a pack for the cupboard - £2.70

    Total spend £12.67
Paid into bank Zapper cheque for £37.76

Hoping to hack the Captain at lunchtime. Then spend the afternoon writing on the book blog and course.

Dinner with man pet tonight. He's got a new job so might be a little happier, have hardly seen him recently.

I always log on and hope you have got a lovely new job. The writing sounds like its going well though which is one thing.

I always had coloured and grey horses, I now have a bay with no white socks and no long mane or feathers, I am a convert!!
