Do you have any on your pots with lavande painted on them?
Second last day at coffee shop :j

I did a lavender pot for my blind lady customer, pale green with a deep lavender flower on it. I'd like to say she liked it, but.....she does like the scent as I put it in the sunshine by her back door.

I didn't post yesterday as I was wiped out from gardening in that heat, I had a cold wet flannel round my neck most of the time, courtesy of an old lady who lives next door to the garden :rotfl:very glamorous, but I was very grateful. I couldn't sleep properly last night as it was too warm and now I have my last shift at the coffee shop looming.

Off to dinner with the girl I like very much from the coffee shop this evening, straight after our shift, she's the only one I'll stay in contact with. Funnily enough another customer gave me a lead on a job on Wednesday, so with permission I passed it onto my friend, fingers crossed she gets the chance to get out too.

Been doing a lot of maths and spreadsheet stuff. I will check but it would appear if I moved from here I would more than halve my monthly expenses. Even more if I cleared my credit card debt. Hmmmm....

Another item up on the bay of E, won't be any today, but I have the weekend off so ought to get a few more up there. Up to eight items now :T Blooming roll of wrapping paper I ordered has been taken to the depot as the delivery person wouldn't leave it as there was nobody at home  Really irritating. That means part of my precious weekend off means a circular trek across the town in the car

Now I can't remember if I mentioned that I changed internet provider, saving myself £21 a month. It's all gone through painlessly, so far....

However, I am about to set up the new router, all by myself. I could be gone awhile;) Don't panic if you don't hear from me, I'll be out and about hunting down a son or two to help get me back on line :)

Just caught up again, such a lot of good news, I feel..
Wishing you lots of strength to keep everything going Piq, until such time as you move and beyond it.

Re the bank charges. I also get text alerts if I go below a certain limit, which is most useful. I bank with the ex building society that is a Yorkshire town.
Is moving banks not possible if this service isn't offered? Having said that I changed mortgage providers from the Spanish named one two years ago but have had the Yorkshire ones since 1986. I'm not great with change either.

    Routers... I've had some experiences!

The "best" one was when the installation CD didn't work and I had to do a manual install, I was ever so proud of myself. I got a new router and modem now recently, with fibre broadband.

Unfortunately I also had 2 weeks of my Windows 8 laptop disconnecting and only my old battered Win 7 netbook able to keep connection.

Then yesterday an update to install a new driver appeared as a pop-up on the new lappy. Since then, no problems. Why didn't it do that before....?
Enough of my waffle. Hope you are keeping your cool in more ways than one.

...and here I am back again! :D Only delayed by having to dust behind the table :o I think the old router's been in place a while [years] and collected a [STRIKE]quite a lot[/STRIKE] little bit of dust and cat hair.

I'm feeling very pleased with myself, quite the IT gnu I feel. I suppose I could sell the old on on Eb@y with the get out jail description 'sold as seen' I hate it when people ask you questions you have no idea as to the answer on.

Last day at the coffee shop - wasn't. Apparently the geriatric customer crowd cornered the manager and asked why I was being allowed to leave. The upshot of which is that I've agreed to do a four hour shift on one of my days off, Mondays to be precise. It will be a little more money in and may help keep the wolf from the door. Pensioner power must never be under-rated :rotfl:

Had one very rude customer who was coming out the toilet still doing himself up  as I was going through to the shop. He barked 'don't open that door yet' I was so astonished that he hadn't done himself up in the toilet that I just carried on. Where upon he shouted at me 'I said don't open that f***ing door' I opened the f***ing door walked through and left him in full view of the shop.... Small things and all that :D

I've also bought a new iron as mine was getting very choosy about when and how much it wanted to heat up. It cost less than £5 :T Along with the router I have managed to set it up and use it! I am definitely a technical gnu.

    Thank you!

I didn't really want to call attention to myself by moving banks just yet, in case they suddenly thought it a good idea to remove my overdraft  Maybe when things are a little more settled.
