Gosh, what a lot to catch up with. I'm with karma as well, Piq, I just hope it doesn't hurt any horses as it works its way out with YO and the rest.

Captain will almost certainly be fine as 'characters' always are. A friend of mine went through some great struggles to keep her boy, she can't even ride him now and hasn't for some years, but she bred him, and at 23 he is still so special to her.
Fortunately her position is now much improved and he looks as if he will be OK for the rest of his days. I heartily wish the same for you.

A quick good morning before breakfast.

I am here with the Captain in his new home. He doesn't seem too worried about it. He's quite taken with Noah the small pony who came to collect him. Also here is Colin! He has the run of the upstairs of the house. I didn't have anyone to let him in, out, in, out.....and feed him a hundred times a day. My friend just said bring him, so chucked him in the basket and off we went. For the first time the Captain and Colin met. It was not earth shattering, no start of a huge friendship. Colin hissed and batted the Captain on the nose so the Captain did the equivalent 'sod you then' and went to eat hay.

Eventually, we hope to have him with two retired police horses, he's already eyed them up and dusted off his Captain stripes. After-all they're only constables.....

Must away, yard chores to help with.

Glad he's settling in well, hope he doesn't get too big for his boots, well shoes :D.

Captain settled, Colin - well, behaving how Colin should, and Piq you sound much more upbeat as well about the situation. I'm pleased Captain will have company and that you will feel happier about where he is stationed.
