***BAD LANGUAGE ALERT*** What an absolute first class B@ST@RD - and a coward to boot. You deserve so much better than this, Piq and as you can imagine I am outraged on your behalf. That said, I can't help thinking that magic forces are at work (you haven't had THE hat on at all have you?) We only started to encourage you to start your gardening business when we heard of your plans for his garden............one day I hope that someone lets him and all the cowbags at the yard who have been so horrible to you down, actually, I don't hope it, I predict it - karma.
Captain will be fine in his new home and your life will be so much richer for not having to come into contact with those toxic people.
Re the wording on the card in the shops - fantastic prose from Robin et all - says it all. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE go to NewLeafs and work your magic on her garden - it will provide fodder for your portfolio and you two getting together will create it's own kind of magic, of this I am supremely confident.
Your friends in the box love you and we will never, ever let you down. I might not get chance to post every day as things are a bit mental in RL but I always check in on you and am only a PM away.
You CAN do this, Piq, you CAN and you WILL, a new life is waiting for you, take your courage in both hands and go forth my friend, you WILL prevail. Your Piquettes are all behind you and will stay there urging you on until you realise your goal.
Take care and chin up my friend

Mean, heartless old so-and-so at the stables. Perhaps it's his family putting pressure on him?
Maybe you should take Colin over one night and let him leave a few 'presents' in the yo's garden. Or on the door step. Captain could help him out.
I think the gardening will be a fantastic opportunity for you, and will really make you happy. Pots and postcards sound fantastic and I'm sure you'll make a super success of it - Piquant's Gardening Empire..."Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

The mans obviously been "got" at and hes too much of a chicken to stand up. Glad you found a solution Piq, You will be happier not having to face the poisonous Biatches at the yard. Keep Smiling, and if youre doing a UK tour of gardening you can come north & do mine. Bring your own JCBIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0

Hi Piq, sorry i haven't been around. Too exhausted to post.
Sorry to hear about the Captain, but on the positive side, at least you have a friend who adores him? He will be fine, ( even if you won't.)
I was having one of those deep and meaningful conversations (that i'm prone to,) with mlh, yesterday. The type of conversation where i said "what have i to lose, i've lost it all, anyway." To which they replied, it's like a rolling stone, gathers no moss, because it travels too quickly to gather any moss. Which brought us on to the BD / RS song, which they asked if i knew.
Like a Rolling Stone
Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"
You thought they were all kidding you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hanging out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging for your next meal
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be without a home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
You've gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely
But you know you only used to get juiced in it
And nobody has ever taught you how to live on the street
And now you find out you're going to have to get used to it
You said you'd never compromise
With the mystery tramp, but now you realize
He's not selling any alibis
As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes
And ask him, "Do you want to make a deal?"
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
You never turned around to see the frowns on the jugglers and the clowns
When they all come down and did tricks for you
You never understood that it ain't no good
You shouldn't let other people get your kicks for you
You used to ride on the chrome horse with your diplomat
Who carried on his shoulder a Siamese cat
Ain't it hard when you discover that
He really wasn't where it's at
After he took from you everything he could steal
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinking, thinking that they got it made
Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things
But you'd better lift your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it, babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
I still haven't planted the sunflowers in elephant poo. I ran out of energy. But i will try and plant them, this afternoon.

Hi piq, I agree with Dorothy to. Those people at the yard are not worth worrying over, one day you will show them what they have missed, and when they want you to sort their gardens out you can tell them where to go (politely of course).
I expect The Captain will soon settle in, neither of you need the hassle from the stuck up yardy mob!.0 -
Well I am pleased you are out of the evil yard atmosphere although my heart really feels for you with Captain. I had to leave the Ginger Ninja with my sister and that was horrendous for her as well as me I suspect.
He will be fine and you will be able to see him and get him back plus keep him in the interim.

..Or Piq will do an excellent, professional job - and charge them £[standard bill]+ 20 - 30% (depending on exactly how obnoxious they're being to Piq now).
