Another equine misadventure for me yesterday..
After taking dogs for a walk I was tasked in stopping at stables to give a handful of hay to the pony and a friends horse. Got there both ponies had heads over stable doors gave them some hay and they kept up with kicking the doors etc. Just left them to it.
Went back later to muck out while HD rode and OH did shopping and realised that I'd actually chucked a hand full of straw over the doors at lunchtime! No wonder they weren't impressed.
Yes I did admit it and won't do it again.0 -

Thank you GreenNinja. Funnily enough my other dog is called Tilly but I couldnt tell you what she is lol. This little chap is currently on pain killers for getting stuck down a rabbit hole and not listening to my recall!! We think he has pulled his back.0

My old chap would have been quite happy. He regularly eats his bed instead of the nice haylage I hang for him.0 -

Thanks New Leaft - dont worry though mine have little 'obedience' and together they are very naughty. Luckily at 6 am at the yard in the morning they have free roam or we walk them down bridlepaths - anywhere in public and they are on a lead! But there is still nearly 14 acres to chase a rabbit accross and the bigger dog (I think may have lurcher or greyhound in her) runs far faster than I can and has very selective hearing! She ran into a fence once so blinded by chasing the rabbit - well that snapped her out. The are both good ratters though

I've always found that it's best not to dissect interviews afterwards, bit like exams where you read far too much into what you didn't say as well as what you did say. To overrun by half an hour is excellent though - had she not liked you or thought you were suitable she would have curtailed it pretty quickly!
Just a thought - maybe she's a Piq fan on here......?? :T
Actually she was Australian and as far as I'm aware we only have one Aussie on here, and I don't think it was her sadly...
I can't stop dissecting the interview, the more I think about it, the more I know where I went wrongI think I am very out of touch with things now. Maybe next time I'll get it right.
Tis difficult when you have an 'not sure' interview. One of the mine ended up in a job, and one didn't (haven't had all that many interviews). So it may go either way. But 5 stages of the interview process:eek::eek:. Holy cow what a waste of money that must be......
Fingers and toes crossed that it goes well.
love the Captain and Colin stories. The one about the soup made me snerk I have to say.
chev
ps happy new year.
Where have you been chev? I've missed you! Does this mean you have a job out there in NZ now? I hope so!
Bloomin' cat will eat anything, he was sniffing round the salad dressing earlier!allybee101 wrote: »I'm sure you'll have done a wonderful job with the interview. If it ran over it means they want to hear what you have to say so better than wrapping up early.
Fiingers tightly crossed.
On the errant tights matter I will share my secret with you to address this problem. Drumroll please....
Pants, over the top of your tights
I am quite tall and have issues with Nora Batty style ankles if I don't keep my tights in check. So a pair of pants over the top helps keep them in place. And there's the added bonus that you can pretend to be Supergirl in disguise thus giving self esteem a boost.
I don't share these types of amazing fashion tips with my close friends, but a bit of superhero pants-on-the-outside fashion has been a life saver on occasion :-D
I wish I'd known that yesterday....honestly, my tights were slipping down my bum at an alarming rate. I was terrified that they would slip below the hem of my skirt halfway down the streetI wish I had a trouser suit.

I'm afraid the Captain has eaten the straw bedding all his life, I've given up worrying, he's got to 27 without it having any ill-effect. He'd definitely eat haylage first though!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I've been at work most the day. Busy Friday! I am tired and stiff today, probably the knock on effect from yesterday. I have put all chores on hold until tomorrow morning and am clutching the heated throw to my bosom and discretely elbowing Colin down to the other end of the sofa and away from my throw...
I am thinking that I deserve a glass of wine, if I finish off the box of wine on the side it would count as decluttering wouldn't it?
I am watching 'Life in a Cottage Garden' and dreaming of what my garden might look like in the summer. The Bear's churn is looking lovely, there hasn't been a day without white pansies blooming all winter and his snowdrops are now coming up. He looks lovely!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

It would be very wrong not to declutter...... I decluttered the gin from the side... Unfortunately I decluttered quite a bit of it last night...:)
I think we always examine interviews... When I had my promotion panel.. I kept thinking of things I should of said... going over and over in my head where I went wrong...!!! However I must of done okay because I got the promotion... I think we can sometimes be a little too pessimistic ... and interviewers know you are in an interview situation.. so unless you have nerves of steel you are not going to be the same person as you would be doing the job day in day out.....x
