I'm all for the thermals - body warmer, thermal leggings, vest, warm knickers, scarf with pom-poms, hat with pom-poms on plaited braids with a pom-pom on top of the hat. Everyone could twirl the braided pom-poms in support - quite fashionable at present. I bet they came into fashion especially for us to support Piq!

    Hello Noo!

Your horses sound lovely. I used to have a cob called Bertie, he was the most laid back horse ever, I think they based the character of Dylan from the Magic Roundabout on him!

I'm trying to get my weight down, not very successfully, mind. The Captain always gives a huge sigh as I get on. Fairly sure it means ' oh deep joy, here's fatty...'

The Captain has very sensitive skin and has to be protected all summer, he goes out into the field wearing an all over fly net and mask, he looks a little like Darth Vader. The first time I put him out in his fetching little outfit, all the other horses ran away :rotfl::rotfl: He was very upset and kept running after them, obviously making them run away all the faster!

    Hi Piq,

I'm on page 2 of your diary and am hooked already! The picture you paint of your captain in his "darth vadar" outfit has really ticked me as my dog Tilly (black patterdale terrier) looks like the same character in her quilted winter coat.. :rotfl::rotfl:Looking forward to reading through the rest of your diary on here xx

Hi Piq. Checked in with you this morning and whilst I didn't have time to post I noted that your interview was at 12.30. I was driving at lunchtime and glanced at the clock - it was 12.35 and I instantly thought 'Piq will be there now, creating her first impression. I imagined you with your lovely new hair do, smart suit, killer heels and posh red bag and just knew that you would knock em dead.

It'll all be over now and you will on your way home, upon arrival I just know that you will be on here telling all your friends, fans and cheerleaders all about it.

Damn cold day for these wretched pom-poms. Not to mention the lycra. I nominate thermal garb, preferably something in a similar shape to a slanket in order to hide the lumps and bumps. We can all still cheer Piq on...

    Best of luck today Piq!!

...and what a sight you all were :rotfl::rotfl::jyodeling in your pom-poms and slankets, I was so proud of you all [I could have done with a slanket, how cold was it???]

Still very cold, I have wrestled the throw from colin, he doesn't deserve it. I was putting on a new pair of tight this morning and from nowhere a short fat dynamo affixed himself via claws to the dangling leg of tight...The tights did not survive :( Chucked the wrecked pair and cat into the hall and started again with a new pair, a pair that kept sliding down all afternoon :( very uncomfortable, and unglamorous as they gave me wrinkly knees, ankles and a droopy crotch, they will be binned :p

And now to the interview. I got there in plenty of time, an hour early and had a cup of coffee in Pr£t [free] and did a last minute review of the job and cv.

The lady interviewing me was very nice and I think she liked me. The interview ran over by nearly half and hour, so she must have been a bit interested.

However, it was very intense and there were several left-side questions that threw me a bit and I could see her pull back a bit. I did my best to get it back but I'm not sure whether I did or not.

To be honest it wasn't quite the job in the description and I think she knew that, but it did leave me a little lost at times. I really don't know if I'll get through to the next stage. I think I came across as a bit too pragmatic which is what I thought the job required, it being a behemoth of a global corporation. Then at the end of the interview she announced she wanted someone to shake the corporation up.

Apparently there are five interview stages  not sure my nerves could take it! And it will take a while to get back to me.

In short, I think she liked me as a person, but I'm not sure if I did well enough in the interview.

Was not a NSD as I had to spend 30p twice to haul my saggy tights up in a public toilet :(
