Well done Piq! I've always found that it's best not to dissect interviews afterwards, bit like exams where you read far too much into what you didn't say as well as what you did say. To overrun by half an hour is excellent though - had she not liked you or thought you were suitable she would have curtailed it pretty quickly!

    Just a thought - maybe she's a Piq fan on here......?? :T

Excellent news on interview! 5 stages sounds like overkill and inefficient to me! I can sympathise with tights, had similar today, (weird huh?) I now have NO nude coloured tights left. ISSUE!!!

Tis difficult when you have an 'not sure' interview. One of the mine ended up in a job, and one didn't (haven't had all that many interviews). So it may go either way. But 5 stages of the interview process:eek::eek:. Holy cow what a waste of money that must be......

Fingers and toes crossed that it goes well.

love the Captain and Colin stories. The one about the soup made me snerk I have to say.

I agree with the sentiments regarding not over analysing today. If its meant to be and all that.....

Oh how I wish I could find an image of spat drink over keyboard as requested by you on Mrs PGs diary as I need it on here after reading the tights palaver.

Found this whilst looking though and thought I'd post it for you

5 stages, wow that really is excessive

Put it all out of your mind for now.

Sleep well and yes, its blinking cold today, actually had to get dressed as pyjamas weren't warm enough :D

  • I'm sure you'll have done a wonderful job with the interview. If it ran over it means they want to hear what you have to say so better than wrapping up early.
    Fiingers tightly crossed.

On the errant tights matter I will share my secret with you to address this problem. Drumroll please....
Pants, over the top of your tights
I am quite tall and have issues with Nora Batty style ankles if I don't keep my tights in check. So a pair of pants over the top helps keep them in place. And there's the added bonus that you can pretend to be Supergirl in disguise thus giving self esteem a boost.
I don't share these types of amazing fashion tips with my close friends, but a bit of superhero pants-on-the-outside fashion has been a life saver on occasion :-D

Many moons ago, my FIL worked for a news distribution co. and had the job of removing all of the free gifts on the fronts of magazines destined for UAE. 24 years later, I STILL have brand new unopened packs of stockings that he gave me. They are a lovely shade of almost no colouring at all so go with everything! How's that for frugality!!

Well done on interview Piq. It's hard to second guess a stranger. You did your best and that's all you can do. I still have fingers crossed for a great outcome for you. Now put it to the back of your mind. What will be will be

5 stages is difficult, however I know of someone who has just completed the 12th stage of interviews!!! US company, I'd just be a little concerned that they couldn't make their minds up!!
