Hum, bit of oil keeps things nice and supple and reduces need for said equine cleansing - used to use veg oil (as had it to hand at yard for adding to feed) and seemed to do trick the Ginger Ninja was nigh on 30 before he made it to the happy hunting ground in the sky with no issues so assume it worked!

Hope the questions spring to mind today - how about "can you give me an overview of the company's 2/5 year strategy please?" Or just "are there any areas which you are uncertain of my capacity to perform in this role so I can address these queries now?"

  • Hi Piq, I have followed your thread from the first post as a lurker (very dodgy sounding word!) and have laughed and cried all the way with you. I know almost nothing about horses but love The Captain and as for Colin, well, he really is my type of cat (in that he is the type of cat I normally get landed with!!).

This is really just to wish you all the luck in the world for your interview tomorrow

Or; could you give me your companies 30 second pitch, or what is your companies USP (a bit hackneyed), but something along those lines.
  • Hi, another one delurking to wish you all the best for tomorrows interview, hope it works out well.

Been following your diary for a long time and had some good chuckles at your stories. I'm a bit of a wimp were horses are concerned I'm afraid, but saying that I went on a donkey on the beach once!. We don't have a cat but we have a pooch we adopted from the R*PCA so know what fun animals can be. Will be thinking of you tomorrow, good luck.

creeps in, one of our old horses wasnt keen on having this done so was a 2 woman operation, one holding it very tight to stop him retracting it and the other scrubbing it up and down (insert very dodgy movement). Sure there are others who do this too, no just me then :rotfl:thank goodness i now have a mare :d

  • Yet another person 'delurking' here to wish you all the best for tomorrow.

You have a fantastic way with words and I look forward to hearing how things improve for you this year.

Your tales about Colin and the Captain are a scream. There was much giggling over the computer at Colin's exit from the neighbour's birdhouse.

    Take care.

I can really relate to the sampled soup. I made a chicken and veg pie last night, left it to cool. Later there were neat nibbles gone from the pastry and some of the chicken chunks and celery had been excavated! There had been no cats in the house when it came out the oven so I thought it was safe.

I find some cats like to taste everything. One of mine is partial to cheese and chive Pringles!

Good luck for tomorrow. I will be another one sending positive vibes through the ether.

There you go! Celery, it's the secret cat treat. Perhaps cats hunt celery on allotments or something. One thing for certain, colin is never going to be a sleek slim feline ever...

You've even made my eyes water with that description....:rotfl:Perhaps I should be grateful the Captain likes it _pale_

Hi Piq, sorry not been around. After the pesky virus I now have had head cold / chest infection and now sinusitus for the last 2 weeks. I am sick to death of feeling ill! Just cant seem to shake it! Head is so stuffy I cant be bothered with the internet.

Good luck for interview tomorrow - I so hope this is the job for you.

I cant belive the cat ate veg soup - the cheeky monkey. Mind you one of my dogs eats toffee, chocolate, grapes - in fact anything I will eat she will so I will be joining you in reported pet owners lol. And, the chickens eat the dog food?? In fact they challenge the jack russell for his biscuits. I think perhaps my pets are just food confused :D

I had to lol at the washing of boy bits. One of the reasons I love mares - my old chap quite likes the hosepipe in summer washing him down and in winter so far I have been lucky he looks alright. rightly or wrongly we have had his back shoes taken off so hoping his feet might come right. He is still not 100% sound which is so annoying.

Dont work too hard today - and try not worry too much about tomorrow and get a good nights sleep. We are all behind you 200% for tomorrow. xx

Hope you feel better soon LAM, it's horrible when illness drags on and drags you down. We'll have to keep quiet about these thieving pets, they'll be put in care if we're not careful!

:j:jThank you everyone for your positive thoughts about tomorrow. I'm sorry that the temperature has dropped and you'll all feel the chill dressed in your lycra and pom poms

Hello JustAboutThere, Just me him and the pooch and labtechlesley :wave::wave:

I find it astonishing that you've all lurked so long and read so much diverse and off the wall conversations....you'll obviously fit in very well!

I'm having a very frustrating moment, I've actually sold something on eb@y. It was a relisting job and, guess what? I've lost it....I've looked all over the place and can't find it. I know I haven't thrown it away. But where the heck it is beats me  Putting the search on hold until tomorrow afternoon after I get back from the interview. I'm wasting too much time looking for it now. I need to read my cv again and the job role.

I've decided to pack flat shoes for tomorrow, I'll wear heels there, but flatties on the way back, comfort is all :)

Everything else is ready, just my posh bag to pack and specs to polish. I'll do it all this evening so I don't wake up in a panic in the middle of the night ;)
